I have a bike cover with a hole for this lock that will prevent theft of the bike cover as well. The cable will remind me not to ride off with the lock in place. Can it be defeated? Yes but it will take work. Cable it to a tree and it can be packed in my bags for when I bike camp for the night. Gives me time to react if someone gets an idea to walk off with my Duchess. It’s worth the money for the piece of mind and it is very strong. The cable is the thickest I have ever seen.

Quality and durability were good as I hoped

I bought a Kryptonite U-lock at a store when I first got my e-bike. I found it a little tricky to use and then after only a couple of weeks it got jammed and I could NOT get it open using any of the methods I found online. I gave up and purchased this one, which is less expensive, but is working great. I love the position of the keyhole, which makes it easier to use overall, and it seems to be as sturdy as the Kryptonite. (See another review which tells of a thief taking everything but not able to cut through the u-lock).

This bike lock is so simple to use! It comes with two keys and the keys enter and exit the bike lock effortlessly. You don’t even need to see what you are doing. I like that it came with an extension, but I will mostly just be using the U-Lock. I will only be using this bike lock for short intervals or when I am able to keep the bike locked up within my sight range, like when I’m at the park or the community pool. I have an electric bike, so I wasn’t able to utilize the attachment bracket. There just wasn’t enough room to install it with my big battery right there. I tried to place the lock in various spaces as an alternative. Since I have a rack above my back tire, I was able to lock it there without it being in the way of my feet or my tires, so I always have it attached to the bike and ready to use. Great purchase!

More sturdy and heavy then I expected. Very solid construction lock and cable.Love it, Highly recommend.

Lo uso para una bicicleta. Lo único malo es que la base para colocar el candado es de plástico y se daña muy rápido. Debería mejorar la base y colocar una de mejor calidad. Y lo otro es que se le mete mucha agua ala candado cuando llueve.Pero si funciona como mecanismo de seguridad. Lo recomiendo

This lock has some weight to it, I like that the key hole is on the bottom, it works better for me somehow, then the side ones. The bottom completely detaches, making it easy to lock up.

Me costó trabajo encontrar un lugar cómodo para montarlo. En tubo o bajante del asiento no quedaba firme.
