Does the job of keeping the power cord and ground wire covered. Could be a little bit more durable

Fit well on the water pump, however the 2 plastic clamps that secure the cover to the pump do not fit very securely into their slots provided on the inside of the cover. Once I resolved the proper mounting spacing for the 2 cover clamps I used super glue to secure them more securely to the inside of the cover. Making it easier to mount and adjust on the pump. Aside from that little fix I liked the cover

I was going to make a sun shade/weather cover for my pool pump motor, and then I stumbled upon this. For $20, I figured I'd give it a try. It's made of plastic, but it does the job and doesn't interfere with the air flow around the motor. It effectively keeps the direct sun off of the motor, and should add some life to it over the years. It attaches to the motor housing with plastic brackets. The plastic may dry out and crack over time, but the cost is so low and is so easily installed, that I think it's worth it. The motor costs a lot more than $20. I am running a Hayward 1.5 HP single speed vari-flo pump.

Terrible product, not easy to put together, very flimsy, broken pieces. Does not fit well and I sent it back because of its poor quality. Shipping container was damaged and was in former labeled UPS box with Amazon label over were the USP label was once. Product looked like it had been used or previously put together. I Do not recommend this product.

Easy to assemble, although thinner plastic than I expected. But, it’s not an item that you deal with, set it and forget it. And most pool pumps and filters are behind shrubs or a fence, so it’s quite suitable for its task. Pretty generic fit, the design allows it to adapt to a range of motors. And at the price, does the job of keeping direct hard rains, direct sunlight, debris off the motor, hopefully adding longevity to the motor. And it’s better to look at than a motor out in the open.

Comes disassembled, to be expected, 100% plastic, even the brackets that secure it to the motor. My pump is in the sun for about 14 hours a day. Motor Heat, Sun - will the plastic last, or even stay connected? I will update with ratings in month or so, once it has a had some use.Adding a star as the assembly and rigidity are good, and they included a knockout for the electrical cord. Now the big question is, how will this fair in the sun all day long.
