Cheap and Nasty
It IS lightweight...thats about as much as I can say that is positive. Yes it distorts unless kept parallel, and as I am generously proportioned in front it only sits at an angle when suspended from my neck - maybe its meant for a man! Flimsy in the extreme and the magnifying is made possible by the maker having applied a sheet of something, which clearly didnt apply flat at the first attempt so mine has lines and marks like watermarks on a glass where it was repositioned. Pay a little more and get something better, dont bother with this! After several weeks of struggling with this its going to the thrift shop. It changes position when I breathe, Im constantly having to readjust it, Im so tired of trying to get it to do what it was supposed to do, Ive lost patience!

Nice Job
They are well made, just wish I had confidence to open up the legs, as scared of breaking them off. I find it swings when hung around the neck so opening the legs may help once I have the confidence to try. Wish there had been some instructions - even if only basic pic.

We wanted something light for a 90 year old who temporarily lost use of one hand so its lightness (flimsiness) is a good thing.
Needed a quick delivery so we bought this one. Low quality build so it may not last long. Batteries are AAA and are inserted counter-intuiitively! We wanted something light for a 90 year old who temporarily lost use of one hand so its lightness (flimsiness) is a good thing. Use onehanded or with the legs but the thin string is impractical. We paid fourteen pounds, think five would be a fairer price.

iXium Hands Free Magnifying Glass With Light...
Purchased these for the same gent as the Sennheiser Headphones. (See Review) Not so happy with this. Item is very lite but also feels to not be of very strong construction. The drop down legs are difficult to re-clip back in place for someone with poor eyesight and week fingers. The four LED lights add very little illumination and there is a bit too much distortion from the plastic lens.

quite helpful
This product is a little m ore flimsy than I expected and has been tricky to use, e.g. installing batteries, discovering how to use the legs, as I am partially sighted. There hasn;t been time to try it out thoroughly but I hope it wilolprove very useful in reading the paper, music, etc.

Useful magnifier for readers.
Arrived before its earliest estimated date, which was excellent. The product's box was slightly damaged although the outer packaging was fine so it must have been like it when put in the posting bag. However the magnifier was not marked and appears to do the job for which it was purchased very well. There is no indication on the box that it needs batteries, and no instructions, but it's very simple to use.

Does the job in a limited way
Can't really complain as the item was very cheap. It supposedly has legs to stand over items, but can no get the legs down. Fine for reading whilst sat down which is all I wanted.so it does the job.

Ok but very little to it
Does magnify as described, however you'll have to take extra care when using the product, the whole thing is very flimsy.
