OSTENT Full Housing Repair Mod Case + Buttons Replacement for Sony PSP 1000 Color Black

Didn’t fit my psp 1000, nothing lined up, screen was scratched to hell, felt cheaply made . If anything , find a “for parts” psp on eBay and buy it and use those shells for your psp replacement.

I only needed the top part of the case as mine was cracked. The fit is perfect to the OEM bottom half. the only diffrence from the 1001 top was the opening of the analogue stick hole its slightly larger on the OEM so for this one you have to pop off the checkered button and install it after you assemble the case. The screen printing of the icons and the letters is much less vibrant than the original but it still alright. I did not like the D pad feeling so I kept my original as well as the SQUARE button was a bit sticky so I kept the original. great price and overall great replacement for the original PSP from a trusted aftermarket brand.

Screen protector is garbage. Scratched when received. Barely run your thumbnail against the screen and it tears a scratch right down the front. Shell was not as strong and durable as the original shell. Do not buy if you don’t want an easily scratched screen.

Did The Job.

I was optimistic I would get a good one out of the batch. I bought this product to replace my old PSP 1000 shell. Right out of the box the "glass" on the faceplate had scratches and a very noticeable Haze. Disappointed I packed up the case to be returned. This product is great if your PSP is in dire need of a new shell but is of low quality if the faceplate screen comes out of the box scratched and hazed.

This shell sucks luckily I only needed a few parts off of it to fix mine. The screen is actually clear if yoy bith outside layers of plastic off. There's also 1 layer inside. The back is useless, the triggers are useless, the buttons are good if you clip off the excess material first. The bezels don't sit in channels properly making the switches sticky so I used my original bezels. I used the UMD door and the front. Their battery is fantastic on the other hand. Don't buy this shell!

Das Gehäuse kam bereits zerkratzt an. Auch nach ablösen der Displayschutzfolie auf der Innenseite waren noch deutliche Kratzer zu sehen und insgesamt wirkt das Glas (es handelt sich eindeutig um ganz billiges Plastik) trüb. Ich wollte erstmal nur die Front meiner PSP austauschen und habe dabei bereits gemerkt, dass die mitgelieferten Button ganz anders sind als beim Original. Das wäre ja nicht schlimm, wenn es wenigstens gut wäre. Die einzelnen Knöpfe sind wahnsinnig fummelig und fühlen sich unfassbar schlecht an. Sie bleiben teilweise im Gehäuse stecken obwohl sie richtig eingebaut wurden. Am schlimmsten ist aber, dass beim Zusammenbau mein Display beschädigt wurde. Es hat jetzt eine Sprung bzw. Riss der vom unteren rechten Rand quer über den Bildschirm geht. Da die Teile ungenau gearbeitet sind und beim zusammenstecken klemmten, habe ich mit ein wenig Druck versucht sie ineinander zu fügen. Dabei ist hat offenbar das Display einen schaden genommen. Ich habe in der Vergangenheit öfter mal das Frontpanel gewechselt und sowas ist noch nicht ein mal passiert! Auch insgesamt fühlen sich das Gehäuse und alle weiteren Inhalte furchtbar minderwertig an, was zwar keine große Überraschung bei dem Preis ist, trotzdem hätte ich zumindest erwartet, dass die Teile passen und keinen weiteren Schaden hinzufügen.

Buttons don't press good, dpad also feels terrible. Doesn't push down enough on the joystick so it ends up drifting. Case also doesn't close fully and leaves gaps open for dust and debris to collect in the PSP. Let us not begin with the other parts of the case as they're probably even worse. Turns your premium PSP into what feels like a cheap knock off you'd find from a gas station. While still being a real PSP.

this thing is junk, made out of the worst plastic known to man, nothing fits properly, the switches dont switch, the clips dont clip, the screwholes strip, seriously though in my 10 years of fixing devices this is hands down the worst housing replacement ive ever seen, returning and if you bought this i recommend returning it too

wounln't buy, had serval scratches all over the case inside of it. the plastic cracked very very easily, the clear screen bit had scratches inside and out of it. don't buy
