I’m a Linux enthusiast and don’t use Windows so I wanted to try this on Linux under WINE using FORScan. Works just fine! Run the following commands first (change out username for your username) and logout and back in sudo usermod -a -G dialout username sudo usermod -a -G try username Then install via WINE, get your license and install in FORScan and you’re good to go. No driver issues just plug in and go and fix or hack whatever you want on your Ford etc. I used this to fix the hyper flashing LEDs on my Maverick. Super easy. Going to do a lot more hacks! For reference, Kali Linux 2024.3 / Ubuntu 2404.4 on a Surface tablet using FORScan 2.3.62 under WINE. VERY HAPPY! Don’t have to replace my LEDs now and can add more drive modes and a whole lot more! Way worth the $30!!! Connected instantly, easy to use/diagnose, very easy to read and understand. If you tinker with Fords or Mazdas, get this!

Works great for ForScan

I don't typically publish negative reviews on Amazon, usually things go very well for me. However, this item has never worked, (with the correct drivers installed) on multiple laptops, on multiple different vehicles. I don't know it is was possibly just me(my unit) or what, but wow, I missed the return date as well. I do NOT recommend this item.

Got here on time. I was able to make some changes to functions on a used car I had purchased. There are plenty of resources online for specific modules and codes and how to make the changes. This particular FORScan tool was less than half the price of the first one I looked at. It works FINE. It's all about the software.

Works with forscan perfectly

Worked like a charm with Forscan. Even worked with other apps - cheap for what it can do.

I used it for Forscan with a 2015 Ford Focus and it worked flawlessly. Never had any connection issues and it worked perfectly to reprogram some settings.

Used it with FORScan running on my laptop. Works great!

Great connector for forscan at a great price!

Just plug and read it's exactly what I needed to update modules and read and clear my DTCs while using forscan. The software is very easy to search and install. Not a bulky scanner which is nice when you don't wanna lug around a bunch of equipment and wires to your vehicle.

Did what it was supposed to do no problems.
