Starting with the positive: the mug appeared to be substantial, sturdy, and very well-made. The handle was a great size which made it very comfortable to hold. I was very impressed with it initially upon receipt. However, as I unscrewed the top to wash the mug, I realized that every time I screwed the top back on, the opening out of which you are to drink ended up over the handle, which would make it very awkward. All of my previous thermal mugs and even all of the pictures shown online show the lid with the opening to the side, which makes it much more practical in order to drink from it without necessitating all sorts of distortions. I will be returning this mug. I am very disappointed because the dimensions of this mug were perfect, and its overall construction was very impressive. I do intend to order out another mug in the hopes that this was a defective item, which, hopefully, will not be the case with the reorder. At this point, I would give this mug 3 stars.An update to this review: As previously stated, I did reorder the mug and just received it today, and, much to my delight, the lid, once fully tightened, ends up exactly where it should for drinking purposes -- off to the side of the handle. I am so pleased that I took a chance on reordering in the hopes that this issue would not exist the second time around. Now, I am a very pleased customer.Months later, and I'm still thrilled with this purchase. Whenever I took my car in for servicing, I would always take my small thermos filled with coffee. The thermos never kept my coffee hot, but warm coffee is always better than no coffee. Well, I just checked and discovered that this mug actually holds more than my small thermos and also keeps my coffee hotter for a much longer period of time than my small thermos ever did. Another positive is that the lid is leak-proof so this mug can be taken anywhere, and it eliminates the need to go through numerous steps in order to enjoy a cup of coffee. With the thermos, I had to remove the cup from the thermos, then unscrew the inner cap, pour coffee from the thermos into the cup and then reverse all of the steps to close up the thermos -- all of which requires so many components where the mug requires lifting the tab and drinking. I love, love, love this insulated mug. It goes with me everywhere.

I've owned several of these cups in the past, but they had a flaw that eventually affected every one with the "old" design.I originally began purchasing these because they performed so well with both cold and hot beverages. The selling point for me was that when properly sealed, the NEVER leaked. I could literally put coffee in my cup and throw it down in my laptop or lunch bag without fear of a wet mess! And it stayed hot all day!!!The new design has a fully integrated, metal handle that attaches to the body of the cup at at the top and bottom. Previously, it was a plastic handle, screwed into the cup only at the top. It was shaped like a "7" and open at the bottom. Also, the new lids now have two area of nubs which allow for a better grip for opening and removing the lid. This puts far less pressure on the handle. I suspect that I will no longer have handle that breaks off the cup.This is a superb cup at a great price. The new colors are great too! LOVE IT!

I've been searching for the perfect travel mug for YEARS and all have failed miserably in one way or another (including the much touted BruMate) until now. Miraculously, I've finally found it and this HausHof 24 oz travel mug is it! It is the perfect travel mug I've been searching for and I have zero complaints about it.- It really is 100% leakproof- After a few uses, the lid goes on and comes off easily. Start with the spout in the drinking position when putting it on, then turn 360 degrees to tighten.- It really does keep coffee hot for hours (!!) even outdoors doing farm chores in cold winter weather- It fits in my car's cupholder- The designed shape of the lid is unique; the indented area by the drinking spout funnels any coffee that has gotten on the lid back down into the spout and back into the mug, rather than dribbling down the person's chin and onto their clothes.If you've been searching for the perfect travel mug, you've found it with the HausHof. I'm back to by a 2nd one for me, and I'll probably buy more for gifts to give next holiday season.

This is a truly terrific coffee mug. It keeps my morning coffee warm for 5+ hours! The insulation is amazing!There are just two small issues:1. The handle wobbles because the screw attaching it loosens over time. The simple-fix is to pop off the handle's face plate (start at the bottom of of the plate), remove the screw, apply a little Goriila Glue (another great product) to the screw, and reassemble. It takes 5-minutes (if you're reasonably handy) and 10-cents of glue, and then you have a great mug.2. We all tend to over-tighten stuff. If you screw on the top very tight, the drinking hole will be annoyingly off-center. However, the mug will NOT leak if your screw the top so the hole is centered. You can screw the lid past that point so it "feels" tight, but that's not necessary to prevent leaking.All-in-all, it's a terrific mug, especially for the price! I've been using it for over a year & love it!

I have been buying this mug for several years. The all metal handle is definitely an improvement. The previous plastic handle was comfortable, easy to hang on a box if hands full and carrying many things to the car but it would loosen up too often and a hassle to get around to tightening. I always own several of these at once. Use for hot coffee, others for water and sometimes milk. I have dropped it FULL of coffee on a carpet or floor and not one drop comes out. Secure so won't ruin a computer it knocked over- and I have a strict rule to keep flip cap closed when set back down after sip or can't be on same surface as laptop. Tight fitting cap, but opens easily for quick sip.Buying another for a friend.

I’ve bought 10 of these travel containers. For everyone in my family. They are attractive convenient and keep drinks cold for hours. They fit perfectly in my cars cup holder. And the price is right!
