Does the job of providing an extended cymbal holder perfectly
Easy fix to another simple stand, good reach and firm connectivity. Ideal. Recommended.

Get the Gibraltar version for a few bucks more.
Go ahead and pay a few dollars more my fellow drummers and get the Gibraltar version.I owned two Gibraltar stands of similar type and decided I’d save a few bucks and go with these knock offs that have taken over Amazon. Gibralter’s option is just a notch above in a few key areas, like the main joint where you adjust the cymbal arm. Knock off version was less polished, but functional. If the difference was $20 I’d go with these - they do work and did not give me any trouble.

Holds an incredible amount of weight
I'd normally think of an extension like this for small effect cymbals, splashes and the like--but I had used two broken cymbals in a stack in the past, so I decided to really test this thing. I put a 20" B8 ride and a 17" crash on it, an absurd amount of cymbal weight to lay upon such a thing, and yet, this boom arm held firm. I even added a cracked splash on top of that stack, and an extension riser on top of the screw to put a 12" china on top of it all--and this thing still held up. I first had it mounted to a regular cymbal stand, and while the boom arm was stable, the center of gravity was a bit off, and I worried that continuing to play it would tip the stand. I then mounted this off the side of my hi-hat stand, which felt unusual, but the pedal assembly (plus the fact that my foot was on it most of the time) helped counterbalance all the weight I had added to this boom arm. And it's been holding up fine. I play the thing, the tension screws are all stable, and now I get to have my noise-crasher effect back without having to get a whole extra stand to incorporate it.

Excellent quality
Based on my drummers praise and compliments on the Chachazo drum throne, I opted to also get the boom stand. And just like the throne, we were not disappointed. My only problem was that I didn't get a chance to take a photo before our drummer set up the stand on his kit. I had to get him to show me which boom it was, because I couldn't tell the difference between the Chachazo boom and the other high priced name brand stands that he had and even then, he wasn't sure himself. Well built, sturdy and able to hold his China cymbal without hesitation. The only thing we did different was the way it was mounted onto his cage. So in other words it was mounted using a cage clamp rather than the mounting bracket that it came with. It comes with super thick felts and a set of what appears to be a 5a sticks. Now I'm just the bass player, so don't blame me if I got something wrong and said something stupid. I just go by the premise, if the drummers happy, I'm happy and so far we have nothing but the highest praise for the Chachazo products. Thank you.

Seems to work well, but it's quite heavy.
This is extension works! It's quite clunky and the wings aren't finished so they feel rough around the edges. The machining isn't that great either, making the wings tough to turn, even when they are loose. It took me a few times to get things aligned in a way that worked for me, and the tough part was trying to hold the boom in place while tightening the wings, definitely not a one person job and the poorly machined hardware did not help my situation. However, once it was all said and done, this extension hasn't moved a mm, not even a scosche. It's secure as heck and it actually looks good, too. I only wish it wasn't so dang heavy, every time I smash on that crash my entire rack wobbles. Maybe it's just me getting acquainted with real drum hardware and not the aluminum ekit stuff I'm accustomed to.It also came with sticks and felts, both of which feel cheap. The sticks are unfinished and aren't comfortable to hold. The felts are felts and will do what they're intended, not a huge factor for me and my rubber cymbal pads with plastic seats.

Can add an extra cymbal now
I'm slowly piecing together a drum kit for my music studio. I have a throne, a high hat stand, and this so far. Eventually I will have the whole kit. For now, this will be an add-on to my drummer's kit when he's here. I don't have any cymbals for it yet, but I can verify that it mounts on to existing hardware.

Nice and strong!
If you have really great, heavy-duty cymbal stands as I do, I understand the hesitation in buying an off-brand extension arm. You just can’t afford to have any part of your kit fail, especially during a gig. Well, you won’t have that worry with this arm. It’s heavy and strong. Once I attached it to my strong, double-braced cymbal stand, it was rock solid and didn’t move at all. I tried it with a splash cymbal and it worked great. Then I flipped it around and used it to get perfect placement for my cowbell, which is always a problem. No problem now! Two small criticisms: They shouldn’t have bothered including sticks; they’re cheap and we all know that “one size fits all” doesn’t apply to sticks. And the cymbal protective sleeve is plastic, not rubber. It’s fine or you can swap it out for rubber. All in all, I’m happy with this arm.

Pretty standard boom arm extension
I picked up this boom arm so I could add a small splash cymbal or even a cowbell to my set without bringing another stand into the mix. In that respect, I have no issues with this boom arm, it is similar in look, feel and quality to my other stands, so it doesn't stand out. The hardware is solid, wing nuts are easy to turn and tighten, etc. The included felts are thick and the top wing nut is made of plastic, but reinforced inside with metal threads, so it should last.My main issue with this boom extension is the price. At the time of this review, it is $40, and I just recently bought an entire boom cymbal stand here on Amazon for the same price. Why would this be the same price when there is 75% less material? I'd like to see this going for around 30 bucks or less, at that price I think it's a good buy and a good way to add sounds to your kit without too much mess. But for 40 bucks, I'd just as soon buy another full stand to have the options.
