It's not bad. But, Amazon could do better. At $50 it's overpriced.
I got this in today. On inspection it feels nice. The bendy flap needed a little bit of bending to make it easier to put into place to work correctly as the intended kickstand. This does stay well in place in portrait and landscape orientation. It offers ease of access to the side buttons and charge port. The flap is magnetic. I happened to not have a screen protector on my fire max 11 before hand. Before I put the screen protector on I tried the magnetic screen part of the cover ..now, it was pretty secure, I wouldn't say I had to pry it off, but I did have to use a little force opening it. It's not bad though. After I put a tempered glass screen protector on my screen it was still secure but it was a little less aggressive to pull off.For one, I wish this wasn't so expensive since it's really just your basic book style cover. The viewing angle is mostly as if you're only intending to watch something and there's not much flexibility in varying degrees of setting the tablet. If I were Amazon I would've opted for an adjustable kickstand flap backing like they used for the keyboard kit. Too bad you'd have to pay a lot more just to have that piece. A safer bet would've been if Amazon made a smart folio like apple made for their iPads. Amazon was halfway there with this cover, had they made the front part foldable and kept the magnetic backing or made it a tpu back it would've had a bit more versatility in viewing angles. Maybe it would be nice if they made a future fire 11 tablet with an integrated kickstand like the Microsoft surface hybrid laptop/tablet..I'm plenty happy with this cover as a simple stand and protection from scratches in a bag. Good for watching things and reading. I do wish they had made a smart folio variation or sold the kickstand back separately. I also wish it weren't so pricey. But it gets the job done. At $50 it's expensive for this range of mobility/use I'd say at best this is worth half of that. Unfortunately, this won't be dropping in price that far anytime soon. I'd buy it again if I had to but at about $25/$30 at best. Realistically I feel that's what this cover should really cost.

Save yourself some frustration and buy this one.
I, like most other shoppers, looked at the price of this case and immediately opted for a Made in PRC, no brand/off brand $10-ish case. Thinking to myself, "Why would I ever need to spend THAT much on a case?!" Well, I'll tell you why: 90-ish% of aftermarket cases open backwards to this tablets native orientation, a lesson I learned by spending money I shouldn't have. Just turning the tablet over is all fine until you realize some Apps only run in this tablets native orientation and now you're repeatedly turning the tablet over. This tablet has a viewable/working area that goes to the very edge of its screen and some aftermarket cases, at least the one I purchased from a popular brand, grip the tablet by the edge of its screen making many on screen features difficult or near impossible to use. I could go on but I think you get the idea. This case is completely magnetic, as advertised, and it is really stuck to the tablet. And since the case is held to the rear of the tablet magnetically, there is absolutely nothing touching or blocking any of the tablets edges making all of its features 100% accessible. Also, the stand feature is also magnetic and the tablets "kick stand" is definitely not going to collapse while in use.

Not as nice as the earlier models of this origami case.
I will start with my one positive. I sill love the origami design. It is 100 times better than the other types of folding cases. it's slim and doesn't add any bulk to my Kindle Fire HD11.Now for the negatives...Unlike earlier versions of this case made for earlier versions of the Kindle Fire, there is no framework to this case. It is just folded, fabric-covered cardboard that wraps the Kindle Fire and is held in place with strong magnets. There isn't any structure holding the Kindle Fire HD11.I can be accused of dropping my cellphone and my Kindle Fire on a regular basis. When I drop my new Kindle Fire HD11 now, it just slides out of the case. The magnets are not strong enough to keep it contained. I am concerned that the corners and the glasss screen will break more easily now. The sad part is that my new Kindle Fire HD11 is no longer my constant companion as I am more afraid of breaking it due to this new cover style. On a side note, I bought my new Kindle Fire HD11 because I finally broke the screen on the old Kindle Fire HD10. I had needed to buy a replacement cover for my 4 year old HD10. The old cover was beat to death. The plastic frame work chipped and cracked due to the abuse it took from being dropped so often and I couldn't find the exact replacement anymore. If I had that replacement cover, I don't think I would have needed to purchase a new Fire right now. Good for Amazon, but not for me.I am also having problems closing this new cover. It's not that I am decrepit due to arthritis or anything like that, but I feel like I am clawing at the corners to separate the magnets and that this will eventually cause the corners and sides of the case to fray and separate which took almost 4 years to happen with the older version of this case.My final though is that sometimes I would slip my credit card, driver's license, or cash in between the old framed case and the Kindle Fire HD10 to travel light. I would not try this with the new Kindle Fire HD11 case as there is nothing to keep the cards from slipping out and I would be concerned that the case will de-magnetize the credit cards.Amazon, I think that you have made a poor decision in this new design.Update 10/04/2024:I have had my Kindle Fire 11 and this case for 1 year now. I am so very disappointed in this case. I have dropped my Fire 11 several times over the years and this has resulted in every corner of my table being damaged, the screen chipped and scratched as the magnets for this case are not strong enough to withstand any sort of drop. The worst case is that the frame of my tablet has bent out by the corner with the on / off switch which makes it difficult to operate the button. You have to hit it just right. Amazon, please go back to the original origami case.
