value for money and perfect replacement
I have to buy a pair of 80N gas lift to replace faulty cupboard lift which won't stay open. Originally I bought 150N and thought it will be good idea to have a more powerful gas lift and hold the cupboard panel more steady. Then I realise they are too powerful and make the cupboard panel very difficult to close so I have to buy another pair of exact 80N to replace installed 150N lift. Now this pair works perfectly, stay open and easy to close. The product itself is very easy to install with clear instruction manual. Overall a good purchase for half of price to get similar product from screwfix.

Good item when you get the right one.
Good item but you kinda need to be a mathematician to figure out if it’s the right one for your project or not. Cheap enough to but different strengths and keep some in stock

Does the job, but needs stronger metal in mounts.
They are what they are. Not amazing but not rubbish! My only complaint is that the mounts are not very strong and the strut bent two sets. I had installed correctly and have used other brands before but this one just seemed weaker. Perhaps very thing cheap metal to keep costs low. Good for most things though. The higher pressure strut perhaps needs harder metal mounts.

Piston/strut and 3-hole brace are good, but the 2-hole braces buckled on first use..
The actual piston/strut is great [was wondering if it was too strong, as couldn't compress it by hand] and the 3-hole brace are good, but the 2-hole braces buckled on first use..Have got the 180 rated ones, but it seems that the brackets for the door/flap aren't up to the same strength...not expensive by any stretch, but wasn't expecting the first close and open to have buckled *both* of them..Calling support to see what options are available from here...if there is a stronger bracket, will happily keep these and get another 3 pairs..(Hopefully can update this with the results of the call..)

Surprisingly effective
I moved house to find the overhead kitchen cupboards had struts that did not function as they could not keep the cupboard doors open. I looked up the brand of those broken struts and found they cost 20 times this item (it was an Italian sounding brand that is apparently made in Germany). These not only do the job, but could even be screwed into the same holes thanks to the choice of brackets and the fact that one of the brackets has slots to help you adjust it. The old cupboards had 2 x 80nm and I accidentally bought the 200nm, so actually only needed to fit one to each cupboard and left one of the defunct struts in place to help with guidance.Time will tell how long they last, but for now I'm very happy with these, especially for the price. Two nitpicks:1. These are 'soft open' not 'soft close', they offer no resistance when closing and so you can still slam the cupboard shut e.g. onto your fingers. That's how they are supposed to operate but the title here may confuse some, especially those worried about safety.2. The items I received have a different design with large red writing instead of small black writing; in my opinion the ones pictured look nicer but as they are mostly out of view it makes little difference overall so hasn't affected my rating.

Did exactly what I wanted. And for a fiver? Can’t complain.
Did exactly what I wanted - i.e. to stop the bedding box lid clouting my Mrs on the back of the head. I can’t complain, and now neither can she.For a fiver, don’t expect them to lift & support mega heavy weights but if the lid you’re trying to use them on isn’t so heavy that you struggle to physically lift it yourself then these will cope.

Size too small for me...
I looked at the strength and newton's, but didn't check the size. It's too small, I need one for a heavy 4ft wide x 4ft long wooden door. Do you sell bigger ones?

Watch what you recieve
I recieved the wrong struts. The package said Soft Close. I recieved the regular Hold Open type. No time to exchange. Modified my build.

For my truck's tool box.
They were easy to install. I should have bought longer ones to open the lid 90 degrees. They are strong had do work well.
