Do not use on your finish work with out setting the blade.
This is by far one of the best ones I’ve come across. Solidly made. Easy to adjust the blade. Can taper the trim if it’s is your preference. I was skeptical to buy because of some reviews I read but saw some that said make sure adjust the blade. I took my time about 3 minutes adjusting and trying on scrap pieces seeing what finish I prefer and that’s was it. Once I found what works for me I tightened the blade down tested again to make sure it didn’t move and was off. It’s a really handy and great trimming tool. It’s all metal and sturdy. Will buy again and again and again. ( I custom build atleast 2 full kitchens per month)

Gets the job done, for a bit.
Overall a decent product with a full metal construction so you don’t have to worry too much about being hard on it. It works straight out of the box and does a great job of trimming the edge banding to your set depth.I have two issues with the product. First, the blade works great for about 50-75ft (on birch) and then begins to dull which results in tear out. At that point you’ll need to resharpen to get a smooth operation. Secondly, given the construction of the product you can only go one direction when trimming the edge banding. Which means you may have to go against the grain if you don’t plan ahead. For the price I think it’s a worthy purchase but just a few things to keep in mind.

Well made, bad design
I really wanted to like this little guy as it looks and feels like a quality tool, it is just too hard to adjust the blade depth; I was constantly tempted to push the blade back with my finger. The blade should be longer with a knob or something on the back to set it at the right depth.

Well designed
This edge trimmer for veneer works much better than the cholesterol ones I have tried. Solid construction and worth the extra money.

Best Edge Planer I've ever used!
I had a large project which required trimming many yards of birch edge banding. This little gem operated flawlessly. I couldn't be more pleased with it. After all the trimming, it still doesn't need sharpening.

Unfortunately the poor machinist work would not allow the blade to extend enough to plane wood.
Poor machining unfortunately kept this plane from working. It wouldn’t as you can see in the pictures allow the blade to extend enough to shave as designed. I will have to spend some time on my milling machine to dress the imperfections to make it work. I can’t give more than a one. I will clean it up and make it work. But that is my personal time work.
