The tool seems to last forever, but the connecting bushing, which is just a little rubber piece, does not. It wears out with heavy use and needs to be replaced on occasion. Unfortunately the tool needs to be disassembled to accomplish this. It's a pretty simple operation but if one isn't aware that this can be done, the first inclination is to dispose of the tool. These are pretty inexpensive repair parts and work well.

Amazed that it was so easy to find this part for my 30? yr old Dremel tool. Perfect fit and about 10 min. to replace the old coupling and be back in operation.

If your Dremel Tool motor is obviously running and the Chuck is doing little or nothing this coupler between the two has gone South. One of my broke Dremel tools was old enough that when I opened the case to replace the coupler, I found several pieces of shattered plastic turned "that" shade of yellow. After replacing the coupler, it ran good as new!

The part fits perfectly and operation is back to normal. It's great to have extra pieces if and when needed as not to delay the tool usage. Good quality at a fair price. Amazon was the only place I could find these and get them quickly.

The coupling is flexable enough to easily assemble byt strong enough to get your project done.
