small gauge wire
I like these black jump rings, but they are a small gauge wire. They are likely sturdy enough, but I wouldn't use them for something that might have a lot of tension/pressure on it.

These are easy to open, so don't seem as sturdy as some jump rings I've used but I really needed black so these will fill the bill. The paint has not come off yet. I would reorder these. The selection of sizes (and the amount of each) was excellent and the hinged storage case was great!

Do not close right and metal is thin and soft.
