Hi Joanne Amazon has forwarded your Q. to me Sorry have never owned this item but having seen it advertised I think I would try a bottle brush like the ones for baby bottles hope this helps good luck and best wishes. A.

Hi. I can’t say I’ve ever washed it. We use it occasionally but our cat has perfected the art of using it very well. I’d say it should wash easily enough without taking it apart. As it is all plastic it can be immersed in soapy water and a flexible bottle brush used through the gap at its widest opening. I wouldn’t recommend using wet or sticky food in it anyway so there shouldn’t be much residue.

Q: how wide is the hole of the 6cm ball where the treats fall out? Want to know if it's big enough for the dry cat food

It's wide enough to take cat treat biscuits which are bigger than dry food kibble pieces. It's adjustable to make it harder/easier for the treats to fall out when the ball rolls. This one doesn't come apart so the hole is also the filler.
