Many health benefits for using but the most immediate for me was the dramatic increase in my quality of sleep. I take it 2 hours before sleep with water, being liposomal no food or source of extra fat is required. Restful sleep gives me more energy for the day.

Hoping I do as well as the mice 🐭Renue by Science is a company specializing in longevity and NAD+ supplements, so these apigenin capsules are a natural fit with their suite of products. In studies of mice, apigenin supplementation appeared to inhibit the CD38 enzyme and thereby increase NAD+. To my knowledge, this has not been studied yet in humans.The company made an informal survey of people taking this supplement, and they report improved deep sleep in people taking it; of course, I have no idea if this is true or not, but wanted to mention it here in case anyone wants to follow up on the Renue by Science website.This apigenin by Renue is liposomal, meaning that the active ingredient has been bonded to very small round liposomes (sort of like tiny oil/water globules) for better absorption. Converting a supplement to liposomal form is a way to boost the effectiveness of the ingredient. This product uses sunflower lecithin for the liposomes.Re: third-party testing, their website states, “Before an ingredient is allowed in our formulas, the supplier must provide a certificate of analysis (COA) certifying the potency and purity of that product. In addition, each ingredient must pass a microbiological and heavy metals test. Only if the pretests are acceptable, is it allowed as an ingredient. After each product is manufactured, it is tested by the manufacturer before being shipped to us. Once we receive a product, it goes immediately into a quarantine area where it is held until it is again tested by a third-party, independent Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) certified lab using the appropriate tests for that product. In addition, the finished product undergoes a final third-party independent testing for microbiological and heavy metal safety.”The bottle has a non-zipoff plastic shrink-wrap seal over the cap. Under this is a Lift-n’-Peel foil seal, and under that is a large wad of cotton. The capsules occupy about ⅓ of the bottle; they could have used a smaller bottle to save plastic. The cap has a pop-top cap for easy dispensing.The bottle contained 90 capsules, as promised. The capsules are small and thin, about ¾ inch long and ¼ inch wide. No unpleasant or strong odors or tastes. They are easy to swallow.The bottle is labeled with a lot number (BN:) and manufacturing date (MFG:). I was surprised to see that the manufacturing date is 07/2023, or 23 months before the date of delivery.

If used as directed it will last three months. I would prefer they use a smaller bottle.The date has mostly worn off - one reason to not put it on the bottom of the bottle, but it looks like it says manufactured in July 2023; it does not say how long the supplement is good.The capsules have a light scent and taste, and are easy to swallow with water.I like my supplement bottles to say organic, non-GMO, GMP-certified, 3rd-party tested, and Made in USA. This says non-GMO, GMP-certified, and manufactured in the United States.I look into the supplement companies I use because I've come across so many questionable ones. Their renuebyscience site is not only functional but has extensive information on it from bios of their founder and leaders to their research to their 100% satisfaction guarantee (which is nice since Amazon doesn't accept returns on supplements) to providing a working phone number and an online chat feature. This is a robust company and their transparency eases my distrust of supplement companies and helps me know I can have confidence in their products.I seem to take longer than most to see results when starting a new supplement, but this is one of my favorite supplement companies - I would even work for them, is how good I think they are. And I have had positive results with others of their products. One reason I like them so much is their lack of using some of the fillers that many companies say they need to use; but the manufacturers of the highest quality supplements I know refuse to.It seems pricey, but when you consider the quality of company and product, and that it's three months' worth, it is much more reasonable.Thank you for reading, I hope this was helpful.

Apigenin is one of the active compounds in plants such as chamomile, so it's commonly believed to help with sleep. In fact, if you look at the Suggested Use notes on the bottle, they say to take it 2 hours before bedtime.I used it that way, and I did find that it had a mild benefit in helping me feel ready to sleep.I would characterize it as having a less immediate and less powerful impact compared to melatonin. Probably more similar to the sensation you would get if you sipped a cup of chamomile before bed.I'll also say that I used it one evening when I was quite stressed, and it didn't seem to give me any help in getting to sleep in that case.Obviously I can't say my experience is the same as anyone else — just sharing as a point of comparison.The pill size is reasonable, so the supplement is easy to take. No flavor problems or digestion problems from my experience.
