The inFinite Live Recordings, Vol. 1 [VINYL]

Great recording from a great band. First saw them at Birmingham town hall in 1972, been a fan ever since.

Excellent live recording.Great solos from Steve and Don, supported by solid bass playing from Roger, with Ian as superb as ever on the drums, plus good vocals from Ian.Deep Purple still sound as great as ever. Superb clear recording.

Great album... it is Deep Purple and they don’t need a review to any of their work. The quality of the recording is perfect, even the new songs are much better than the studio recording.

Yet another live album from Deep Purple. There is no shortage of them so it is a bit disappointing that the sound is not up to scratch; you would think that they had this perfected by now. The slightly muddy overall sound and the terrible miking of Ian Paice's drums aside we have a pretty good performance from the band. Up until Now What!?, the album 'Machine Head' weighed them down like a millstone when it came to setlists, the situation not helped by a series of patchy albums, at best, since 'Purpendicular'. Here we get a good mixture of Morse-era songs mixed with some older songs, which makes for a much more satisfying live album. The Vol. 1 tag suggests there is more to come; let's hope for improved sound quality and some variation in the song selection.

Another great live triple vinyl,the vinyls are dead flat not a pop or crackle as for the music nothing to be said 10 stars

Another excellent live album bought after seeing the band on the latest tour. Can't wait for volume 2 - will it be from Manchester?

Music - well if you are reading, likely a DP fan. One of the best live bands ever, as they age, still rocking. Pure live, no altering. Sounds awesome.Vinyl - always a question mark with new vinyl, but this triple pressing is perfect. Flat, zero noise, plays perfectSeller - great service

2017 Live Deep Purple is a well oiled machine. Steve Morse and Don Airey are still breathing life into this 50 year old dinosaur. Neither one is a clone to respective predecessors, which is why they sound freshly amazing in 2017. Ian Gillan, who we all know can't sing the high register any more, has molded his voice nicely to keep the ear splitting shrieks to a minimum and the band wisely drop songs from the set that just aren't (vocally) possible to play any more. While the Morse era of Purple is well over 20 years on, it is frustrating that the band does not elect to perform any of the older Morse era material. Surely any die hard would at this point in time would like to hear Ted The Mechanic and Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming still in the set and not just focus clearly on the new material. It's nice alot of the new material is incorporated with the mandatory chestnuts but still. Drop Lazy add in Ted the Mechanic and you have a nice rounded out set list of Blackmore era and Morse era.

Braucht man noch ein neues Live Album von Deep Purple ? Ja- Ja- Ja.... wenn es so klingt wie dieses. Es ist kaum zu glauben welchen Druck die Herren noch aufs Parkett bringen. Die Songs von Infinite kommen auch live sehr beeindruckend rüber und auch die Songs aus den 70gern brauchen den Vergleich mit älteren Livemitschnitten nicht zu scheuen. Wenn Gillen bei Bloodsucker bei der letzten Strophe auch auf die obere Oktave verzichtet, ist er stimmlich beeindruckend gut drauf. Alle anderen Musiker beherrschen ihre Instrumente wie kein anderer und müssen sich vor dem deutlich jüngeren Nachwuchs in keinster Weise verstecken. Klasse Konzert, sehr guter Sound, absolut empfehlenswert !

メンバーの入替わりが激しかったこのバンドの長い歴史において、2002年のドン・エイリー加入後今のメンバーが最終的に？固定化され早16年が経過。現在進行形の世界ツアーが最終かもしれないとの憶測を呼ぶ中発売されたのが本作品ですが、そんな我々の推測を他所に彼らは元気に活動中。ささいなミスタッチなどを修正することなく潔くそのまま録音している印象です。久々の“Fireball”でのドコドコバスドラでの幕開けにはイアン・ペイスへの期待度が高まったし、かつてこのバンドの象徴的存在の一人でもあったリッチーよりも、現時点では圧倒的現役度が高いスティーヴがこのバンドにいてくれることに感謝したい。10月には彼らの笑顔を国内で迎えたいな。
