Love this. Great tales of the early days in the North West, when there were no 'safe zones' in universities, and people had to actually suck it up, and deal with life, without expecting a nanny state government to support their every whim.

Adventuresome living!
A great read for anyone planning or dreaming of an adventure along the BC northwest coast. Also very nicely illustrated by co-author Yvonne Maximchuk. Full of fascinating details.

Full Moon, Flood Tide by Bill Proctor
Anyone with a sailboat on Puget Sound, WA and an urge to explore north into B.C. will find this book a treasure trove of information on the Broughton Archepelago area of Johnstone Strait. Well written by a man who was raised up there.

More a magazine guide than a book
This really isn’t a story book, rather it is little snips of what you may have found years ago if you went into various anchorages. It’s not a helpful guide in navigation terms, more a you might find an old steam donkey if you go into this bay and rummage in the bushes. Proctor has other much better books such as the one with Alex Morton. I can’t recommend this book as I can’t really imagine who would benefit from it.
