1825-4FTWHW Unfinished White Hardwood Leaf & Ball Chair Rail Moulding

I bought several of these to do chair rail and crown molding in my home office. They are very lightweight and easy to work with. We did two layers of espresso stain on it for the color and it's on a "cool pine" green wall.

Beautiful molding! Needs a little sanding but really nice!

The molding is great if you get a straight piece. It stains well and looks professional when primed and painted. I ordered a bulk of them for a molding job.The problem is that about 20% of the pieces are warped, with about 10% having extreme curves that make them useless unless well nailed, which means you need to attached them to a complete solid wood back. Not usually possible with studs.

I am an artist and frames are expensive. As a low cost alternative, I am fabricating my own frames. These ornate chair rails are absolutely perfect. Much to my surprise, each of the raw boards vary in color and have a “toasted” aesthetic (I assume this is due to the manufacturing process - when the carving bit gets dull, it leaves more pronounced burn marks). Beautiful.I’ve already ordered twice, and will definitely order again. No doubt the design will really pop when painted, and already looks amazing raw straight from the factory.

It took a stain (red oak, two coats) perfectly and became beautiful trim for my fireplace mantle. I find it surprisingly affordable for the quality. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again or recommend it to a friend.

it's very good moulding piece. if you don't need one long piece more than 4 ft then go for it.
