WoW Player Here - Excellent Bang for Your Buck
TLDR; This is an excellent machine for the money if you are an MMORPG player. No regrets about buying this one. It's a keeper. I recently got back into World of Warcraft after many years away and my old laptop just couldn't keep up. I started looking around at laptops capable of WoW gaming and actually tried out an MSI Stealth for a couple of weeks. It was a pretty laptop and lightweight, but man it struggled to keep up just being in a main city. Then I had a battery issue with it and decided to shop around instead of sending my brand new laptop in for work. How I use it: Play WoW, I use it for my side gig (AI Chatbots) and general doom scrolling. I don't overclock or do anything fancy to try to squeeze more out of my machine, other than minor upgrades and settings tweaks. I looked at a ton of laptops and combos of specs and finally thought I'd give this one a try. It had slightly better specs than the MSI at around the same price. This laptop is awesome. It never struggles to keep up at. I haven't done any raids yet so I don't know how it will perform in that situation but I will update once I know. Pros: performs beautifully playing World of Warcaft. Fan almost never needs to kick in, yet it also doesn't get that hot. Cons: Size/weight: this thing is heavy and huge. It packs a punch but you sacrifice portability. Yes it's a 16" laptop but I hadn't imagined just how big and heavy it would be. I have a 16" laptop for work and this is far heavier. It feels well made though. Yes you can still carry it around, but you won't want to much. I mostly keep it at home anyway so that's not a deal breaker for me. Battery life: yeah, it's pretty bad. I've been on battery power for almost an hour on "eco-mode" and it's down 15%. The power brick is also huge, so if you are communiting or traveling with this often, the weight and size of the computer with brick is going to be a drag. RAM limited to 32gb: I'm suprised such a big and powerful laptop can only take up to 32gb of ram. I have not yet upgraded my RAM yet because it's performed so well so far. I do have 32gb on hand and plan to upgrade anyway. But seeing how well it's performed so far, not having 64gb might not be an issue at all. Can't (yet) figure out how to wake from sleep with bluetooth keyboard/mouse. I have changed every possible setting under the sun, including tweaking the BIOS and it still doesn't wake on bluetooth mouse/keyboard. That's annoying. I have a really small desk that houses to 27" monitors and two laptops. I keep the laptops in a vertical stand which saves me tons of space, but it's super annoying to have to pull this thing out, open it up and wake it up.

Runs any modern game (as of 2024)
Great gaming laptop, I run everything on this laptop, COD, Helldivers 2, Space Marine 2, Age of Empires 2. I’ve never had it slow down on me, it has a nice amount of storage, I got the 1TB. I use it for while I’m traveling for work so I can chill out in the hotel and play some games with the guys. I don’t know about the battery life, the way I use it I want it plugged in. It isn’t too loud, outside of when you boot it up, it sounds like a jet engine taking off! But that is literally the sound they have it play while it boots up. Doesn’t matter if you have a headset plugged in, it comes through the speakers. Very annoying. Outside of that, it is a great rig and I have not experienced any issues with it. Value for money? Good. Edit: I forgot to mention I run this with a portable secondary monitor too with no issue!

Great Computer
After a lot of research into laptops I decided to choose this one. I’m not an avid gamer and when I do game I only play games like Sims, but I’m currently going back to school and wanted something powerful for continued schooling and the possibility of games in the future. Since having this laptop, I have done numerous school assignments and it’s a dream. I really enjoy how smooth the keyboard is when typing. That seems like a weird thing to mention, but when typing papers it is very fluid unlike other keyboards that I’ve used in the past. The screen graphics are also extraordinary. Those are one of the first things I noticed when powering it up for the first time. I can’t speak on a gaming perspective since I haven’t played games on it, but I think this laptop is phenomenal and I would buy it all over again if I had to. 10/10

Battery life
I’m suprised with the amount of game I could run on this gaming laptop. I’ve been longing for a gaming pc for so long, and decided to buy this one. In general, laptop runs smoothly, almost all of my games. The Battery Runs out quickly if not connected. I use it mostly when I’m at my home, So the battery life is not a problem for me. Overall, I like the purchase!

Design flaw/melted charger
Bought this roughly a year and a half ago for my little brother as his first laptop and we had no problems with it except for the fact that the charging port for the battery is located at the back of the laptop. From a design standpoint, this seemed a bit weird to me (typically the ports are at the side of laptops) but didn't think much of it at the time. This design is actually a flaw in the laptop that I wish i knew about sooner because after a year had passed, the battery overheats constantly to the point of burning you're hand if you're not careful. This would happen even on low end games just playing them for a few hours. Considering it is a "Gaming" laptop the average person is playing for a good few hours a day if not most of the day. This problem got worse from the fact that because the battery gets no hot, it was starting to melt the charger at the back of the laptop. Now the charger can't even stay in the laptop properly anymore because of how much its been repeatedly melted by this battery. I would not recommend this for anyone that is planning on play games for more than an hour a day (which the average person is playing way more than that). The battery charging port being located at the back of the laptop is such a weird design flaw I'm not sure how this got past testing.

I was going to purchase a Macbook Pro...
After a lot of research, I chose to go with this gaming computer. I am a full-time college student and professional photographer. I needed something fast, and with great quality and clarity. This company shipped super-fast, and I had the computer within a day. I would also like to note that this computer speed is exceptional, as well as its color and clarity. I was going to purchase a Macbook Pro, though, I am not sure it's entirely necessary at this point! I'm giving this a 10/10!!!! Seriously, it might have just changed my mind about IOS.

Perfect for students and gamers
As a college student who juggles between studies and gaming, this Acer Predator Helios laptop has been a lifesaver. The gaming experience is smooth and immersive, perfect for unwinding after a long day of classes. It handles all my software for school projects effortlessly. Plus, the fast Wi-Fi connection is a dream for both online gaming and streaming lectures. It's the ultimate device for any student who's also a gaming enthusiast. Highly recommend!
