Segafredo Massimo Coffee Beans 1kg

First package had punctures. Seller replied promptly and sent out another one free via super fast delivery. So I got then really quickly. . Coffee smells amazing. Is still damp with coffee oils, you can see them on the beans. Yes some are crumpled up. That is bound to happen because of how they are packed. I use them in my hand grinder. They make wonderful expresso. Not so great in the cafetière. A bit to strong for that. Although maybe I added to much. I am new to serious coffee making! If so I will come back here and comment. But as I usually use them for Cappuccino, I am not worried my self. I was not overly keen on them in the percolator either. Very strong. But my barista machine ( which has all the right measurements for amounts and temperature) makes perfect expresso with them. So I am guessing the issue is with me not the beans! I have much to learn. I will update here more.

My preferred coffee after trying many from Illy to freshly roasted specialty coffee. It is very strong and with a lovely nutty aftertaste. Very consistent across different purchases. Leaves a thick crema on the sides of the empty cup. I make a 14g double espresso in the morning, one at lunchtime and that's all the coffee I need for the day.

I bought this on the back of some positive reviews here. It's strong for sure but it is a mix of Robusta and Arabica which is not clear on the product description. From the taste I would guess that this has a fair amount of Robusta beans as it tastes a little coarse compared to pure Arabica.

This is a fantastic coffee for my coffee machine and brings back the taste of Italy with a deep aroma flying around the house.The service is first class and has always arrived within a couple of days of ordering.Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a lovely espresso in the morning

After all the great reviews I was excited to get this coffee very quickly. I adjusted the strength on my bean to cup m/c 3 times but the coffee remained bland but became bitter. I take my coffee with a little drop of milk and so I tried 3 shots instead of my normal 2.....tasted like the worst instant coffee! My only thought considering the other good reviews is that the beans I got had been exposed to air.....there didn't seem to be a vacuum when I opened the pack, it was no where near out of date but there was hardly any smell when I opened the packet and none when I made the coffee. I don't usually write such negative reviews and can only assume there was something wrong but I'm not going to spend another £16.95 to find out!

One of the richest and nicely rounded coffees that suites my coffee machine.Love Segafredo coffee and this is worth the extra few quid.
