I’ve read the reviews of it not charging or barely!! I realize if you fully charge the Camera, THEN add the solar charger, it will MAINTAIN that charge! I installed 2 1 @ 50% the other 75% full. The one @50 gets direct Sun for maybe 3-4 hours but will still charge without it!The one in the back gets more and even on a bright cloudy day it show’s charging! I’m going to take them down fully charge and monitor from there…but for now I see it’s maintaining the charge!! It’s low wattage makes that the issue!!

It took some playing around to get the light to hit them right, but now they are doing what they are supposed to.

WINTER UPDATE: Reduced from 5 to 1 star. These solar panels DO NOT FUNCTION once the temps dip below ~50F.So, if you thought you’d save yourself from ladders in the snow this winter, you will be sadly disappointed.——I have two of these solar panels attached to Arlo Essential cams in my backyard and out front by my driveway (which gets plenty of activity from everyone dropping their kids at school and my son/his friends playing ball).These solar panels have easily restored the few percent of juice I may lose on the camera during daily use, despite the fact that neither gets a full day of direct sunlight.I will note that upon first plugging in one of the panels, that camera battery drained precipitously before leveling off. The solar panel isn’t capable of restoring 30+% so I fully recharged that camera directly and haven’t had a problem since.These cameras are at a steady 100% and I may never have to climb up on a ladder for them again.
