Continuing from the appeal of the G2M and B2M, the i2M musicport combines the features of both these units (to support both guitar and bass) with an optimised USB interface for even faster MIDI performance. Featuring extended MIDI features and configurability to satisfy the most demanding users, and a high-impedance audio interface that won’t suck the tone from your instrument, the i2M musicport is the new way to connect your musical instruments to your computer. Designed particularly for guitar and bass, it works with most musical instruments including wind instruments and the human voice. Now you can record great-sounding tracks and play synthesizers and samplers how you have always wanted to: by using your favourite instrument.

Wow
I couldn't find a review for this product - although there were some on YouTube. So I thought this deserved some feedback on the Amazon.co.uk site.First off, I purchased this to use with Steinberg Cubase 7.5. I'm not a very good keyboard player, but I know my way around the guitar fretboard and much of what I want to do involves using VST instruments for which there is a programming bias towards the piano keyboard. This resolves that issue for me and I'm sure I'm not alone in being musically fluent on an instrument that is not a piano. It works perfectly for six string guitar. It really is plug and play. The software recognised the unit as a midi instrument and all I had to do was choose what VST instrument I wanted it pointed at in order to play or record.Pitch-bend information it transmitted should you want to send that sort of data - personally I find that works best for synth patches. However for instruments that do not pitch-bend the chromatic settings work best. I have been able to produce very authentic brass and woodwind sounds in this way. String patches also respond in a "natural" sounding manner. You do have to adjust your playing approach - it can be a bit unforgiving at first, but you soon get used to that and if you make a howler in recording, it's very easy to adjust that note with a midi editor to drop it into the right register. A little more practice and judicious choice of patch and I'd be happy to play live with it. Tracking is very fast and generally accurate - spot on if your input is similarly perfect. The monophonic aspect isn't so limiting. You get 6 midi channels so you can set those up (and store your settings for recall) - and store up to 4 banks of settings. You can program chords from a single string, orchestra sections of several instruments triggered by a single note or, using arpeggio generating software, you can get some complex patterns very simply.I love it. I'm almost loath to leave a review as I feel owing this gives me a technological advantage over my fellow guitarists - but I really feel that Sonuus have played a blinder with this piece of kit. Any other device that does this kind of thing is much more expensive, but I cannot compare this to other things on the market. I'd recommend this to anyone who has requirements like mine and is on a budget.

Better than first seems
Ok. Initially I was angry because I didn't realise there was a setting that just made it seem like the stupidest thing ever but then the other review made me realise.
