I'm not good at tech. Does the tv connect to the player then the player hook up to cable box. And will it work on an older smart tv?

This only has output so you would need to connect to the cable box or TV directly.

I have blu ray disc for all regions it says A B and C will it play on this unit ?

The default DVD in the United States is for the A region. If you want to see the B or C region in the future, you need to contact us and send you the upgrade software
