**potential plot spoilers**The characterisation is okay, but quite shallow. I didn't care what happens either way because neither lead character were especially compelling.The plotline is thin and based on his stalking her for seven years, for reasons I won't name but her acceptance is ridiculous.The whole 'tell me no and I stop ' but then carries on only to repeat himself after she says no is particularly concerning and raises the question of dubious consent as well as manipulative coercion.If a daughter of mine said no and he carried on you can bet your life I've taught her how to make him stop.The plotline sends a clear although subtle message that it's okay for a woman to give in as long as she says no once.It's all about control and sexual exploitation, it's distasteful in places.There are numerous sex scenes and plenty of swearing.It's not as dark as other books but it's not entirely comfortable reading

There really is very little to say about this story as there is really nothing in the story.The main character is meant to be female but it is so obviously a man writingIt's just pointless tittle-tattle which never goes anywhere... So we have the narrator telling us:"I could rock a bikini without feeling self-conscious but I wasn't a show off either."Then as the page drages on it changes to:"The underwear I wore was somewhere between lingerie and basic briefs."I really find this hard to view as in anywhere entertaining, there is nothing exciting, nothing entertaining, nothing sexy. In fact I find it hard to imagine why anyone wastes their time writing this stuff so that oothers can then waste their time reading it..

She doesn't know who sent it the only clues are the P.O. address and company name VR Inc both of which are dead ends. Over the next few month Kyrie receives more checks each with a note spelling "you belong to me" - she is worried about this statement but considering she owes more than she could ever hope to repay she just goes with it. A year after the checks first started arriving a man called Harris turns up on her doorstep to collect her on behalf of his employer who has been sending her the checks.As we approach the 1/4 mark in the novel Kyrie meets her debtor but hasn't yet seen him because she consented to being blindfolded nor does she know his name. While the situation is strange Kyrie knows by agreeing to his terms her family will be provided for and she won't end up destitute. The mysterious man continues to test Kyrie in order to gain her trust so she can gain his and despite his odd manner and requests she finds herself truly wanting him. I like the fact the male lead character and Kyrie`s love interest is nothing more than a voice and a vague description. As we cross the 1/4 mark in the novel we are finally given a name for the mystery man; Roth. We also see the sexual tension building between the pair we are given the briefest of glimpses and hints before the author rips it away in this hot and frustrating game of cat and mouse.As we approach the half way mark in the novel we see the tension and trust building between the pair which is great but I couldn't wait to see some real steamy action. When the level of trust between the two finally reaches a level where the blindfold can be removed Kyrie is awed by this man: Valentine Roth. Kyrie also has the gagging suspicion that she knows Roth from somewhere but can't remember where or when but I have a feeling it will come to her. As cross into the swing half of the novel we see Roth`s and Kyrie`s relationship take on a new dynamic when Kyrie finally allows herself to admit her desire for Roth and to submit more to his obedience request.As we approach the 3/4 mark in the novel we see Roth and Kyrie heading towards the final act of trust: sex. When the both finally give in we are treated to some amazingly hot scenes as Kyrie admits that Valentine owns her and is very quickly falling for him. As we cross into the final section of the novel we not only see Roth in control sexually but he trusts Kyrie enough to give her some degree of control. It's only when Kyrie fully trusts Valentine and is falling in love with him does he decide to tell her the truth, the things he has been hiding from her since the beginning. The ending of Alpha was heart breaking, full of angst, lust and love and I honestly can't wait to get my hands on Beta. Highly recommended.Overall, this novel was written amazingly well with a soft, unique writing style. Even though this book erotic fiction we aren't actually giving a sex scene until the half way point so if you aren't into smut or are new to the genre I highly recommend reading Alpha.

I love Jacinder Wilder's books usually but this fell so flat for me. I got stuck 30 mins in and couldnt push myself to finish.The guy takes her to him using coercion.. blindfolds her.. and she acts cool with it all. Accepts food and drink from a guy she doesnt know and cannot identify.. while staying at his home few minutes earlier. A place that she doesnt know she is.. and neither does anyone else.Yet hes expecting trust..? And shes considering giving it to him?No sorry.. this is a DNF for me.

Omg christian grey doesn’t even come close to valentine Roth.Now mr Roth is an alpha alright. Knows what he wants and he sure knows how to make his woman happy.I must admit I was really puzzled when he first came about on the book. I didn’t like his owning and begging but after more reading yeah we all would beg for what he can offer and more haha.Mr Roth doesn’t need a toy roomHe’s got his mansion on top of a high tall building in Manhattan and he has it all from state of the art tech to furniture comforts etcBut he’s missing just that one piece to complete him.Can his alpha side win over a true innocent angel.This book is a must read!!!!!! If your onto hot sexual scenes but done the right way and about pleasing the woman than his own pleasure. Mr Roth is for you.
