Peak Design Dual Plate V2 for Capture Camera clip.

Fits both my Manfrotto & Peak Design tripods. Great to have a 2-in-1 design without having to change camera plates. Top-notch build quality. All good here :-)

Works well - been using them for a couple of years. As an Manfrotto RC2 user this solved the problem of wanting to use the PD Capture Clip without changing everything to Arca Swiss.

The PD system is pricey, but everything is solidly built and it's really convenient being able to leave a plate on every camera and have them slot into the Carry strap and still be compatible with a tripod (I have a Manfrotto with an ARCA style rail). There are a couple of reasons to prefer this over the non-dual plate. Aside from compatibility, it gives you more clearance between the tripod and the camera. It also mercifully has a slot alongside the hex adjustment so if you've forgotten the Allen key, you can easily adjust in the field. For some reason it's also significantly cheaper than the standard plate, so what's not to like there.

Firstly I have been using Peak Design products for a few years and I am very happy with the quality and functionality. I purchased this plate as I have purchased a new tripod and head, my old plate no longer worked with the new head so I purchased this. I like to carry my camera using the plate at the base of the camera so wanted to use this plate to fit the bigger plate on the new head. This plate fits both whilst still allowing the Peak Design clips to remain in place. The Manfrotto head has a safety feature that requires a lever to be pressed before you can fully release the plate. The major concern for me is that this plate can be removed from the head without pressing the safety catch. There is a small chance that you catch the release mechanism which could cause your camera to drop off despite the safety release not being pressed. It fits perfectly on the smaller head with no chance of it releasing. I will happily use it when out and about with the Manfrotto Be Free tripod but will switch it out when using my larger tripod.

I ordered this to use on Arca Swiss and Manfrotto RC2 ball heads, I read some of the negative reviews and was a little concerned about the fit, so I thought I would try one first. Fits both type of ball heads really well, No movement on the Manfrotto, pretty much the same as the PL200 plate and of equal quality. Overall, very pleased and will order some more so I can use any kit on any tripod without changing plates. Plate does not move when attached to a camera after tightening with supplied allen key and with the Peak Design anchor links fitted, you can still mount it to a tripod without taking them off. Would recommend.

Handy to have an attachment that both has PD anchor holes and fits a tripod, fits nicely on a K&F tripod (will soon see if it fits a Three Legged Thing tripod). Fit is sturdy, design is minimal, does the job well so no complaints.

The problem with this plate is that it’s orientation for the lens is totally out by 90 degrees for use with a tilt head on a monopod. Otherwise it works with both manfrotto and arca Swiss ball head mounts.

Ich nutze die Platte nur noch für meine Kamera. Sitz und passt einwandfrei. Der große Vorteil ist, dass sie i die passende Peak Halterung/Aufnahme passt

The dual- use quick release Plate serves its stated purpose of being usable in two types of heads: Arca Swiss as well as the usual RC2. While it can be slotted into the Arca Swiss head groove perfectly, the fit in a RC2 head is less secure. Having tried with two different models of RC2 heads, I found that the fit is somewhat unstable. The dual use plate comes with a loop slot in the base for attaching the Peak Design corded tags used for linking to the Peak Design camera strip. Once the corded tag is looped into the plate slot & remains on the plate, the fit of the plate on the RC2 head becomes even less secure in my view. The main use of the dual use plate is for those who also use Peak Design camera strap. Being the only such dual use plate in the market, the product is worth buying. But use with caution!!

Solide,robuste et compatible arca suiss

Ho preso questa piastra con doppia compatibilità per non avere più il problema con il CaptureV3 e teste Manfrotto. La dimensione è la stessa delle piastre RC2, si aggancia perfettamente nella testa senza problemi. Nel Capture è utilizzabile solo se appeso allo spallaccio dello zaino e non alla cintura, ma il problema è un non problema visto che non lo metterei mai alla cintura. Dopo 2 mesi di utilizzo la piastra si è sverniciata nella parte inferiore, cosa che non ho mai notato con quella manfrotto. Tutto sommato sono contento dell'acquisto e dell'enorme comodità che mi ha apportato.
