For heavy user of apple pencil, this is the best!
Very good. If you think that regular Matte protector does not give you enough grip, this is for you. Much better gripping than regular matte screen protector and much more clear view than Matte ones. But I want to point out two things;1: Apple pencil tip will be scraped over the time. This screen protector gives you this much of friction. In Japan,` people are saying that this will erase your finger print over time too!2: make sure to check the product before apply. My first screen protector had two tiny bent, and these trapped air bubble. (I am exchanging to new one)

Does have a rainbow noise effect but texture feels really good with the Apple Pencil
It does add a rainbow noise effect (see photo) on the screen but that's to be expected from a matte screen cover. Compared to the supershieldz one I had previously, the texture on this one is better by miles. The grit is pretty toothy and drawing with the Apple Pencil feels really really good. It's also the easiest screen protector I've ever applied. The blue tape they include is great for getting any dust specks off the protector if you have to reapply a few times to get it right. It seems that I got lucky in getting a non-damaged one. The packaging leaves a lot to be desired, and I can see it getting damaged in transit pretty easily, as there's no cardboard backing.

I'm a paperless student and this works amazing.
I really like this screen protector. I'm a paperless student and I do a lot of writing. I'm also an artist and do most of my preliminary sketches in the iPad before I paint them. What I can say, is that it feels like paper. It actually feels as if you were writing in a sheet of paper on top of a wood surface or one of those desk mats.Yes, it's a bit rougher than a matt screen protector, but I feel that there is less rainbow effect than in one of them. This is because the texture is random instead of continuous. If you zoom into the picture with the icons the lines that you actually see are the gamma you get when you take a pic with a phone. Anyways, this is great for the buck. I'm not complaining. And about the installation, please use a dust controlled environment, this was a thicker screen protector than the one I had before, but with less sticky sheets. It literally has just one, the one in the adhesive side. The way I installed was by cleaning with windex and the fabric that came with it. Then, I used the blue tape to pick up all particles (don't do this in the dark!) I pulled just the side where the home button goes, and aligned it, then I peeled more plastic at an angle so that the screen stuck as I removed the backing. It worked like a charm. No dust at all! Patience people, patience and you'll succeed.PS I know that the texture is going to wear down the tip of my pen (just like my Wacom) just remember that you might have to purchase replacement nib in the future. I'll keep updated if the screen wears out.

Best protector for writing or drawing so far
But came with a dent in middle and would not bond to one corner after second attempt to position.Considering the price they could afford to put a couple of cardboard sheets in the envelope.

Excellent
Love this. Makes the iPad Pro pencil feel like a pen and paper pad. Easy to apply and feels ok to use with fingers as well.I’ll be buying another for sure if this one wears out.

Screen protector was damaged.
This appears to be a good product, but like several other reviews here, it was bent, dinged and damaged on arrival. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that when you get continuing complaints about damage and you are sending the product through the mail it might be a good idea to slip the screen protector between two pieces of stiff cardboard.

It really is like writing on paper!
Previous glass overlays seem to be mostly an extra level of protection against scratches, and many now seem to be like a thin film like gorilla glass and rigid. This is a flexible screen protector kind of like the early screen protectors- a flexible plastic film. It has a matte finish like a fine frosted finish. It does cut down on glare and if you like a glossy screen this is not for you. The matte finish gives the iPencil a level of "drag" or friction that really does feel like pencil on paper. I felt with smooth glass protectors, the iPencil was "slippery" and I didn't like that- it was like writing on a dry erase board. This really does feel like writing on paper and I look forward to using it- hopefully I will feel like my Ipad pro is more like a digital legal pad rather than a small electronic dry erase board.I'd say this is more of a "functional" screen onlay than a "protective" one, but it really does feel like writing on paper. The product is worth 5 stars, but I give it 4 because of the packaging, it really is a flexible sheet of plastic shipped to you in a plastic bag. There is nothing to protect the package from folds, kinks, or bends. I hope they revise their packaging to ship the film sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard or a small cardboard box. I would order this with something else to make sure it comes to you in a cardboard box for that extra level of protection. Hope this review helps your decision making on this product. Enjoy!
