With bold styling and an entirely unique approach, the Focus Dynamic R48 is a safety razor which defies convention. This is a razor which uses one half of a regular double-edge safety razor blade at one time, thus a 'single edge' razor but not in the traditionalist's sense of the vintage GEM brand razors. It is also a decidedly non-traditionalist's single edge razor in that this razor NEEDS pressure to work its best; to use as designed, bring to the beard with the top of the head cap (furthest from the blade edge) landing upon your beard first, press face-forward until you feel the blade's guard bar flush to skin, and keep this intentionally-designed plane flush to your beard as you move for best results, with pressure favored furthest from the guard bar so that the head cap plane presents the skin to the blade and stretcher bar in ideal position - on the contours of the jawline and in tight areas it must be used without the top of the head cap plane flush to the beard, but will be less efficient in these areas. Snap blade in half and place upon the head cap so that the fixing pins are flush to the indents in the blade and the bent shards of the blade face towards the head cap and away from the base of the razor head - this is the only way the razor should be used, and it should not be used with 'saloon' style pre-cut half blades.
