We love our Stanley cups, but we are also trying to reduce the amount of plastics we ingest. Yes, we know that plastics are everywhere in our food and water, but doing what we can to reduce anyway just makes sense. In addition, using these means straws last much longer and we aren't adding more plastics to the ecosystem.At first I looked at glass straws, but read reviews where people found glass in their drinks and realized how dumb glass straws would be for drinking. So, we decided to pass on swallowing chunks of glass.I had to be sure to find ones that were the right length and these work great with both our really large Stanley and the smaller ones.The cleaning brushes work well and these things will last forever if you keep them clean.The one thing to be careful about is that you may have to change how you actually take a straw into your mouth. I never realized it, but I was using my teeth to position the straw when I wasn't looking, so I almost chipped my tooth the first few times I used these. I just had to adjust and stop using my teeth and now it is muscle memory and don't think about it anymore.This is a great buy, a quality product and worth the investment for your health and the environment.

These are really high quality, all stainless steel drinking straws that are extra long, perfect for smoothies& shakes. They are larger in diameter than other straws and come with a high quality cleaning brush. I've even run them through the dishwasher in an upright position and they get cleaned perfectly.

These are bigger than you think! I'd suggest getting a measurement before ordering instead of guesstimating how big of a size you need. They get really cold. Wash these out right after your done and you won't have to worry about funk getting stuck inside of the straw.

I like them for my 40oz Stanley. I feel like it makes my water taste better. Since I only drink water, I just put them in the utensil organizer and run them through the dishwasher. No issues with these straws.

These are definitely wider and taller than a typical 40oz tumbler straw. I do not have a Stanley tumbler (it's Tal brand from Walmart) and it needed to be pushed into the cup pretty forcefully to fit. But it did fit at least. I don't notice any metallic taste.
