Good multi function pliers
Truth is, as long as you have a bottomless pit of cash, you'll never go wrong with Parktool stuff. I bought these as I needed the crimp and cutting function more than anything else, mostly for cable work on my bikes. I used the pliers to fit a new gear cable and the cutting blade on the pliers snipped through the cable very easily and without pinching to either the cut cable end or the plier blade. These would never cut through anything more heavy duty, or even the cable outer. But I have 'light weight' bolt cutters which make light work of that job. So I didn't want to buy a much more expensive set of dedicated cable cutters. Crimping was a bit more faffy but it did the job once I had the pliers incredibly finely lined up.

Quality Pliers
These pliers have a solid precision construction with good wire cutting and cable end cap crimping sections. Suitable for any bike related cabling tasks.

Another quality tool from Park Tools
Another quality tool from Park Tools. They have to be the first set of needle nosed pliers I have owned that have been spring loaded (must remember not to keep a finger on the inside of the grips to open). I'll probably never use the cutting part of the pliers as that is what side cutters are for, though the inclusion of a crimping area my come in handy though it would make my crimping tool obsolete. A good tool with lots of features... If you only want to buy one tool.

Great pliers.
These may seem a bit extravagant when considering the price of a "normal" pair of pliers but they have three big advantages: 1. They are sprung loaded making them very easy to use. 2. They have a decent wire cutter which won't fray the ends and can crimp. You don't need a 2nd specialist tool. 3. They are Park and look nice in your toolbox!

Excellent quality with a nice tactile grip
Excellent quality with a nice tactile grip. Park Tools are the best, if you can afford to buy once and keep forever then this is the one. I like the hidden spring, it really makes it a simple tool to use
