Good but not perfect
I really like the screen, large and clear, and the orange backlight is just so beautiful. I really don’t like the build quality, the plastic is not solid, and the screen cover is soft, also it does allow you to zero the reading once it powers on, you have to power if off, and power on to re-zero.

Good!
Easy to use and comes with batteries which I really appreciate. My one complaint is that it’s pretty bulky. Not really an issue, just used an extra extender with it and it worked great.

Works great, impresses friends
My friends are always trying to “one up” me. I should buy a torque wrench, blah blah blah. Then I found this thing. It blows them away. For much cheaper than a fancy torque wrench, you get this marvel of modern engineering. And it’s much cheaper than a torque wrench and much more accurate. Take that, friends.

Only 3/8 Torque adapter that rated for 99ft-lbs, actual is ~120ft-lbs
I don't use 1/2in too much, so having 3/8 is preferred. All the other 3/8 torque adapters only go up to about 60ft-lbs well this can actually hit a 120ft-lbs, This also looks way better with the bigger display.

Pretty good, accurate
I was in the market for a digital torque adapter it was either this company or the AC Delco I went with this brand because the ease of changing out the battery . Replacing a AAA battery is a lot more ready available than a CR 2032.. let me say that the first week of using it very accurate measuring it up to my actual torque wrench. Only downside is that the battery didn't really actually last. I swapped out the original battery it came with with rechargeable AAAs and when I rotated my tires the batteries died out on me when I was talking all four tires so this thing drains a lot of power from the battery. The side note the manual does say that if you don't plan to use this take the batteries out so that kind of leads me to think that this thing will drain the battery slowly. Updated....10/22/23. I decided to order another one for my dad's car. So the second one arrived today 10:22 23 and upon opening the Amazon envelope package I noticed the box wasn't wrapped and plastic like the first box was first red flag. I proceeded to open it and discovered that the plastic screen protector was peeled off and the plastic strip that protects the battery from draining was pulled out and worst of all the screw that holds the back plate where the battery goes to is missing I decided to turn it on and the screen started to spit out torque number results in the end looks like I got a used product that was returned shame on EP Auto and shame on Amazon for letting this happen. Well going to harbor Freight to try the Quinn torque adapter I'm done with EP Auto.

This is a nice little device, works as advertised and based on my testing seems to be sufficiently accurate. The main advice to everyone is not to use manual torque wrenches without calibrating them on a digital torque converter. I have one torque wrench that I have bought from Supercheap Auto and was thinking that it worked fine. When I tested it with this torque converter I have discovered that it was substantially off and had to be recalibrated. Please note that spring based torque wrenches are non linear which means that it might be accurate at 20Nm but will be 10Nm off at 100Nm so if you want to have accurate torque then you need to pre-set your wrench on this torque converter first. I use it in conjunction with a manual torque wrench as it is easier to torque with clicks as opposed to bips. One of downsides of this device that I have noticed is a lack of pre-set torques, it is a pain to readjust the desired torque every time as it is a slow process, would be good to have it in memory. Also, the Toshiba batteries that came with it were DOA even though they had expiration date 05/2025, had to put new ones to get it working.

Bigger than expected. The measurements are listed on the web site. Happily used on many occasions now. Cheaper alternative to inbuilt version but would prefer it as I could use it more in tighter spaces. Unit itself is sensitive and worked well when I used it replacing the suspension.

Owning a collection of expensive digital, spring and deflection bar torque wrenches purchased this out of curiosity to see how an electro torque transponder stood up side by side with calibrated professional wrenches. The accuracy, medium ranges was generally good, testing both low and high ranges it was consistently lower than indicated by my other wrenches but not by enough to be of major concern. The overall build quality seems pretty solid and for the price a handy addition to the box. I would recommend it as long as you have sufficient clearance to access nuts and bolts to be torqued to spec. The reality in real world torquing on vehicles this unit would be limited by clearance difficulties and better suited for on bench work where fastener access wasn’t restricted.
