updated review
(UPDATED REVIEW)When I first ordered this product, what I received was rancid and terrible. I posted a review about that experience. To my pleasant surprise, a manager from the company contacted me and wanted to make it right. After a few emails, she sent a replacement order, completely free of charge.Just for that, they went from one star to two and a half. I truly appreciate a company that goes out of its way to make customers happy. But what I really wanted to know was this - is the best they have to offer really any good?Well, we got the replacement duck fat and it was fantastic. I mean, I can lick it off my finger and it left a pleasant aftertaste that lasted for a full twenty minutes. Better than butter.Apparently, I got a bad batch or what I ordered spent too much time in the heat of the mail, because the replacement is very good. Not only good, but the sealed cups are still good after a month of sitting in the fridge.Good duck fat, GREAT customer service. Their extra effort brought them from one star to five in my eyes. (I would've set the cap of my reassessment at four stars just because of the bad batch, but the replacement was so damn wonderful that I had to give it five.)If you have a problem with your product, feel free to contact the company. They are truly *ethical*, stand behind their product, and will bend over backwards to make it right. For that alone, I'm impressed and will order again.(ORIGINAL REVIEW)I thought that I was being so smart by buying this product over the jars of Rougie Rendered Duck Fat. I thought that the little packs would keep so much longer than a big jar and it would save me a few cents. What I received is rancid. Horribly, horribly rancid.I received my package today, tried to mix some with butter for mashed potatoes (making the best of it), and it's still awful. One tablespoon of this crap mixed with six cups of potatoes, milk, butter, salt and pepper and I can still taste the rancid fat.I'm sticking with Rougie from now on. Never had a bad experience and it's worth the few pennies to have something edible.I feel sorry for the duck that sacrificed itself for this rendered fat.

Nice tasty quality product!
I have this on subscription it is so good! It’s easy to use and stores in the refrigerator for multiple uses. I like to roast potatoes with it. They turn out golden brown, tasty and stay hot too. It’s like magic.

Yum!
Each of these six units in this package of rendered duck fat are small, but a little goes a long way. They are convenient because one package is enough to flavor anything you want to use it for without digging repeatedly into a tub and having to measure. The fat itself is delicious. I have used to to flavor home fries, roasted vegetables, and smeared it on homemade bread and it is fantastic. It may seem pricey, but duck fat in general is pricey and for the packaging and doorstep delivery convenience, it is a good buy.

Very Nice
Okay. I'm a very accomplished home cook of some sophistication, but I'd never used duck fat. I wondered about the small size units, but I find that cooking for usually uses one or half of one unit, and the other half can be used plenty soon enough that it's not wasted. The taste is distinct and quite good. My first use was with some braised pork. I had made enough for two nights, and the product arrived for the second night. I sauteed the pork and carrots in half a unit of duck fat to reheat. The rich flavor much improved a dish that is anyway always better the second night. Half a unit was plenty. The richness was a very good addition to the pork and carrots that had been braised without wine and therefore somewhat plain. I see this as being something I keep in the pantry.

Not pure duck fat
The ingredients list more than just duck fat, unfortunately, which annoyed me since there was no indication in the listing that this was the case. OTOH, roast potatoes cooked with this duck fat came out wonderful, as I would expect. Overall a good product, but the description should be clearer. (Lecithin? Why in the world does it need Lecithin?) IAC, I will likely look to find an unadulterated product for my next purchase, but if I can't find a better solution, I would buy this again.ETA: Downgraded to 3 stars. I've now used this over a couple of containers, and also used the Rougie Duck Fat available here on Amazon. The Rougie is a far better product. It's pure, unadulterated duck fat, with no additives. And a much clearer rendering. If you absolutely need Prime shipping, then this product is acceptable. But if you can wait a day or two more, and want a pure unadulterated product, get the Rougie. It has a cleaner taste and is nothing but pure, white duck fat.
