I’m a holistic medicine person, studied naturopathy and supplement based medicinal approaches for over 20 years. Any vitamin E product that has a single trace of Alpha Tocopherol, is horrible for human health. Research shows Alpha Tocopherol is actually a precursor for cancer, yet it’s in so many “health” foods and drinks, and almost 99% of all vitamin E supplements. This brand I’ve used them for years now, thinking the market will start making many variations of the Tocotrienol Vitamin E complex, minus the Alpha tocopherols. Years later, this is still one of the only lone brands out there, that have a perfect Vitamin e supplement. Only the types your body actually relies on, and none of the synthetic crap that is the majority of other brands. There is indeed another competitor to this one that also has no Alpha Tocopherol in it, but that other one has negative reviews regarding some quality control issues. None of this I’ve experienced with this brand. Many don’t know, in Orthomolecular medicine, it shows that Vitamin C and Vitamin E play off one another. They are both Antioxidants but they work in very different ways, where the more you increase one, the more you have to increase the other. Otherwise, jacking up one, will drop your levels in the other. Meaning, for all you out there who may be amping up your natural Vitamin C levels (not the fake stuff called Acsorbic Acid that’s not true Vitamin C), you need to also amp up your Vitamin E, in order to have both of them pay off one another. Research it on the web from medical experts. Long story short I love this product and it has so far had not one single contender. It’s the Vitamin E king.

Showing my age here. Sigh. Well, I've suffered 10 years with hot flashes and now that has mostly subsided. Overheating though continues. I am embarrassed with how much I sweat now in this hot weather. This form of Vitamin E and daily exercise (walking for 15-20 minutes counts) was the cure. It is documented from studies about the effects of Vitamin E on hot flashes, but I found out the hard way that it has to be the natural form of Vitamin E that comes from tocotrienols (not the synthetic tocopherol which also is linked to cancer so keep away from tocopherols). I started taking 1/day and on the 2nd day, there was such an enormous difference and I am so relieved. Years ago, Vitacost had a Vitamin E that had both tocotrienols and tocopherols and I was taking that with the same success. Then Vitacost discontinued it and I struggled for at least 8 years trying to find another that works. Since this Unique E is void of tocopherols, which is a good thing, I am happy to say I now understand I owe this relief to the tocotrienols. I mention this just in case someone decides to discontinue this product (please, don't do that!)

I like the fact that it’s a natural vitamin E and not the synthetic vitamin E which long-term use of synthetic vitamin is high risk for breast cancer (I.e., all-rac-tocopherol); natural vitamin E is RRR-alpha-tocopherol and how I know when I’m looking for a natural vitamin E supplement. It’s the healthy version of vitamin E
