Great backpack for traveling!
I love this backpack! I recently took a new job that required significantly more travel and my old backpack I would take on trips was falling apart. I had narrowed it down to about 5 options and decided to order this one to see if it was big enough for everything I needed to pack. It certainly is and has many pockets for everything I need and more!It also usually fits nicely under the seat in front of me on the plane. Sometimes it requires a shove, but not usually. Great backpack that seems to be holding up well, and it’s not too bulky when it’s not full of stuff.

Durable and Perfect for Students
I purchased this backpack for my daughter when she started middle school, and now she’s in her second year using it. She absolutely loves it, and it has held up incredibly well! The quality is fantastic — even with daily use, it’s still strong and looks great. It’s spacious enough for all her books, laptop, and other essentials, and the added features like the USB charging port and RFID protection make it practical for more than just school. This was definitely a great investment and worth every penny. Highly recommend for students or anyone needing a durable, functional backpack!

No Manufacturer Guidance Regarding Required Mobile Battery
Backpack is great. Sturdy and well designed. Negative for it is no guidance regarding charging system. I researched that and found that a mobile battery is needed. No recommendations from the backpack manufacturer regarding type and where it’s stored in the backpack. Very surprised!

Darn good bag for the money.
I was looking to get a backpack for EDC to and from work etc. After doing comparisons of various bags from various manufacturers, I was drawn towards this one because of the USB charge port feature. I figured if I was going to pay 60+ bucks for a bag it should have a geek feature I can appreciate. The bag is well made, has lots of storage space and is built for carrying a laptop. Ironically something I don't do with this bag since I rely more on my phone that anything else. The part that goes against your back is padded and very comfortable. This section is also cut in such a way that it would slide over the handle of a luggage cart. The tech section in the back most part has pockets for hand held devices. They are perfect holding my iPod Touch gen6, My work cell phone and a Pocket Juice 8000 battery pack. This is the pocket juice that has the built AC prongs. Amazingly the pockets each these as if they were designed for it. If you look at the picture the ipod sits in its pocket snug and the work phone (a Samsung Galaxy Luna with protective case) fits in the other pocket. The 2 handheld device pockets are different sizes. The battery compartment fits the pocket juice perfectly. There is a cable that will connect to the battery that feeds to the USB port on the outside of the bag. This allows to charge a device without having to fish out the battery. The laptop pocket holds up to a 15" laptop. But it does make the backpack uncomfortable to wear. This section also completely unzips to open the tech section allowing for the bag to lay flat on xray conveyor belts. Also allowing for TSA to have easier access to destroy your laptop. The other compartments:The outer most small pocket at the bottom is great for pens and small items. The next pocket up I use of a first kit and various small items. Contained in that pocket is also the a RFID safe zippered pocket in the flap. I've tested it and it does work. You can feel multiple layers in its design. They did not skimp on this one.The small eye glasses or tech pocket is nice for easy access to whatever you put in there. I keep small cables and a flash card reader kit in it.The main cargo pocket is where all my regular stuff goes. My moleskine notebook, portable hard drives, another battery unit, cables and power charger, my RAVpower mini router, an umbrella, other various items and some tools. There are 2 zippered pockets on the sides of the bag that hold quite a bit. and there are compressor mess pockets over them, and these are the thick multi-layer mesh not the cheap "will rip easy" type. As long as you don't put anything sharp or oversized in them they should hold up fine. I put folded plastic shopping bags in one and a plastic cable cuff in the other. The mesh is so think you can't even see what is in it.What I don't like about the bag.The straps. They were not built for comfort. They always feel like they are trying to slide off my shoulders. Even when I pull the adjustments tight. This is something the company should address in the next gen of this product. There is a mesh pocket on one strap. It is a single layer mesh but well made. The carry handle is nice but it does not feel like it is sturdy enough. I haven't had any problems but I think the handle should be designed so that it ties to overall frame of the bag. That is when holding by the handle it should be supporting the it by body or frame of the bag and not by the top of the bag. It does seem to be well stitched though. So in closing. I am happy with my purchase, the cons are not deal breakers but it would be nice if they fixed them in the next model of this bag. I do really like this bag and sits well on the passenger side on my car when I travel.I do recommend this bag.Pros-----PriceStorage compartmentsConstruction (Well built)RFID blocking compartmentBattery to USB portCons-----Straps should be more comfortable and supportive.Top handle should be sturdier.Jun 2021Addn: After 2 years use, still happy with this bag. It has held up really well.

Skip to the end If you want bullet points/a summary, but if you want my experience, read on :)I want to start off by bragging on this company, because I purchased my first backpack from them in 2011. It lasted me throughout my undergrad/masters degree, and survived too many vacation trips to count. This year (2019) I decided to purchase another backpack from them and so far I am pleasantly surprised. My first Swiss backpack in 2011 had a lot of space and an adjustable front pocket that allowed for packing an additional change of clothes, etc. I was a little heartbroken that this one did not come with that, but they made up for it with the amount of space available. As the pictures show, this thing can hold a lot. So far, this is the list of contents in my pack back: Laptop, ipad, charging brick, three sets of headphones, k-cups, an iPad keyboard, pens, pencils, 2 three ring binder folders, a planner, a change of clothes, sunglasses and different charging accessories. If you cannot tell from the photos, there is still TONS of room. I have owned this backpack for a total of five days and I already love it more than my first one (I never thought that would happen). Anyways, I am just going to restate everything in bullet point form in order to hit the high points.-Tons of room, here is the list of current items in my backpack: Laptop, ipad, charging brick, three sets of headphones, k-cups, an iPad keyboard, pens, pencils, 2 three ring binder folders, a planner, a change of clothes, sunglasses and different charging accessories. And there is still plenty of room left for additional items.-Sturdy. Like I said above, if it is similar to the first Swiss backpack I purchased, it should last 8-9 years with no problem.- My issue with the first backpack I purchased in 2011 was the handle. It was made of nylon covered by hard/rubber plastic. The plastic broke within the first three years, but the nylon is still intact. This backpack, however, has a neoprene fabric shell and I’m unsure of what’s inside. It is comfortable and well put together (I’ll update if there are any issues).- My only issue so far is the zipper and USB port. One of my zippers has already fallen off (unsure if it happened to only my backpack or if it is a manufacture defect). And if you do not grip the USB port tightly, it will begin to move around in the plastic cover and it is a pain to readjust.Overall, I am going to rate this five stars. Even though there are a few issues with the zipper and USB port, the design of the backpack far outweigh the two negative issues I’ve found so far.*If you found my review/photos helpful, please let Amazon know by clicking the helpful button below.
