EleBOX Universal Remote control for the Elderly and Visually Impaired (Dark Grey)

My father-in-law is 95 and has full-blown dementia so you can imagine the confusion that arose when one of his daughters bought him a new television and he was faced with a modern remote control.I ordered this remote control on Sunday afternoon. It was delivered Monday evening and programmed and up and running Tuesday morning. It took me only 2 minutes to program (unlike other TV remotes designed for the elderly that I have tried) and it works absolutely perfectly.I consider this to be a first class product. It is well designed, robust, very simple to set up and very simple to operate.

My elderly Mum who has cognitive difficulties was struggling with the normal remote and was dependent on others to switch on the TV and change the channel for her. We tried everything, even covering over all the other buttons but she couldn't quite get used to it. With this little gizmo, she has total TV independence and she is delighted that she is able to operate it herself. It's very easy to set up, you pair it with the existing remote as opposed to the TV, and can be done in a couple of minutes. I can't recommend this highly enough for anyone with dementia or other cognitive difficulties.

Easy to program from original remote but only records single command press per key. Bought as budget solution with fewer, larger, illuminated buttons for older person to use but possibly a little too simple - needs a TV guide button and maybe one more to allow easy basic control of a DVD player too. Good for price and user finds it easier than fiddly overcrowded remotes.

Works exactly as it promises. Nice big buttons work every time, even when pointing at the ceiling.Only suggestion for improvement would be to colour in the symbols on the orange buttons (which I have done myself).

This is a very simple remote control. I bought this for my mother who suffers from dementia and she can now turn the TV on and off without getting lost in menus as a result of randomly pressing buttons. I only activated the on/off button and the channel buttons and now there are no more tears or panic.

I have just received the remote which has been purchased for my elderly mother who is bedridden after having a stroke and suffers from getting very confused. This will be brilliant for her needs as each button can be set individually to work. My mother sometimes hits the wrong button then panics and presses every button in reach leaving the tv full blast with an obscure channel on so I have set it up to respond to the on/off button only . Just kept the original remote handy for the staff at the care home to adjust for her if needed. No more ear plugs required!!If it was a bit bigger it would be faultless

Does not work with my panasonic vera tv . I have the panasonic vera remote and followed the instructions which are pretty simple but no joy. I think the advert should state which tv's it will work with and I would not have wasted my money
