Q: are these bio-degradable?

I do not think so. They are plastic. There are some bio degradable on Amazon, though.

Q: I typically scoop the litter into a bag and put into my regular trash. Would these keep odor at bay for 5 days or so? 7 days?

we have 4 cats and 3 boxes and that makes a difference on how many days. all that I c can tell you is that we keep tbe bag that we are filling near tbe boxes and don't smell anything objectionable while its indoors. personally I really notice a big difference since we started using these great bags. I also like that they are easy to open and are the perfect size.

Q: What is the mil weight of these bags?

Good question! I searched the box and can find nothing to indicate mil thickness. They are made in Japan so maybe they don't measure that way. However, I have been using these bags for two years and can attest to their strength and ability to seal in odors. Use one each day for my kitty's litter "offerings" and have asked guests if they notice odor and no one does. That's the true test, I think. They feel relatively thick. If you be sure to tie a tight knot in them, there is no odor leak and I have never had a tear or puncture. A great product and makes living with kitty much more enjoyable with no worries about litter smells. You won't be disappointed in this product.

yes it wil. I have two litter boxes and 3 cats. These are the most amazing litter bags! I have been using them for years. Thick enough to hold everything and odor sealing. I use the Medium size bags.
