Great piece of kit at a great price. Clearly showed what cable had an error and on what pin.

Great piece of kit. Not everything good has to have a big brand name or price tag. Very reasonably priced great service from the seller also was sent out within 4 working days over the Christmas holidays.

The tester works well by very disappointed that the screen is not backlit as reflected in the product photos.I feel that this product is misrepresented by product photos which, in most cases, inform a major part of the decision​ making process.

Makes life easier with multiple cables to test in one go.

I brought this in July and used it once and it worked. I went to use it again on the 10th October 2019 for the second time and it does not work at all. "No Adapter Found" is the message on the screen on all 8 remotes. I tried different cables and replaced with fresh batteries but still no luck. Very disappointing. I have contacted the company to see if they will replace under warranty. I will update when I know more.I have been in contact with Gain Express and they have requested video evidence of the issue. I have now done two videos and sent it to them but still having no luck. This cost around £40 and I have lost more than the unit is worth dealing with this issue. I would definitely avoid buying this network tester.

Great tester... when it works! Really useful to be able to test a number of cables without having to go end to end to switch over from one to another. PLUS POINTS - Accurate, easy to use and avoids lots of fiddling about running back and forward. MINUS POINTS - the power on button is on the face of the device and sits just behind the clear plastic window in its bag. If you are like me and carry a lot of kit about in a larger bag then I find this is constantly being powered on through the carry case window, have gone through loads of batteries.I came to use it last week and it wouldn't power on (Just over a year old). Changed the batteries and still won't power on. Can't open it up as the screws are plugged. Going in the bin. Shame as it was good while it worked, expensive for one year use.

Mein Gerät kam mit beleuchtetem Display, somit war es sehr praktisch bei der Verkabelung am Dachboden.Es erkannte zuverlässig ein defektes Kabel. Diese können direkt am Gerät mit den zwei RJ45-Buchsen getestet werden.Für bereits verlegte Kabel steck man die End-Adapter an. Im Display wird die gefundene Adapter-Nummer angezeigt. Sehr hilfreich, wenn man Ports an einem Patchpanel mit den Ports eines Bodenkabelkanal abtesten möchte. Die gefundenen Adapter piepsen dazu auch noch auf.Ein Feature was ich durch Zufall entdeckt habe und auch weder in der Anleitung noch im Internet gefunden haben:Falls man ein Kabel zwar korrekt von 1-8 gepacht hat aber versehentlich nicht die richtigen Adernpaare verwendet hat (das kann leicht passieren, wenn in einem Kabel nur 4 Farben + 4 Weiße Adern verlaufen), dann blinken die entsprechenden Adern im Display.

Mir war die ständige Lauferei langsam zu viel. Einstecken, anschalten, rennen, anstecken, prüfen, zurück und alles nochmal.Da unser Elektriker ein Gerät mit mehreren Endstücken hatte, sah ich mich um und so bin ich auf dieses Werkzeug gestoßen.So können endlich 8 Anschlüsse in einem Durchgang getestet werden. Jedes Endstück wird mit seiner ID angezeigt, dass amn immer weiß welche Dose es ist. Eine sehr nützliche Funktion ist das messen der Kabellänge. So kann man sehr einfach eine Fehlerhaft Ader feststellen. Man sollte zuvor aber die Länge kalibrieren. Ich mache das immer mit einem 1m Kabel. Danach ist die Längenangabe erstaunlich korrekt. Alles in allem, etwas klobig aber sehr nützlich. Es spart viel Zeit und noch mehr Wege. Einzig, es sind leider weder Batterien noch Akkus dabei. Ich betreibe es mit 2000 mAh Akkus. Die halten bei öfteren Gebrauch wirklich sehr lange, da das Gerät durch autmatisches Abschalten zum Sparen beiträgt.Ohne Einschänkungen zu empfehlen.

Das Gerät mit 8 Adaptern war der Kaufgrund für mich! Aber leider ist das Display nur passiv und nicht aktiv beleuchtet, ein ablesen ist extrem schwer wenn es dunkel ist. Schade das ist echt so ein cent Artikel ein zwei LEDs aber nein wird gespart, obwohl auf den Fotos der Eindruck erweckt wird, es hätte welche, nein definitv kein Licht. Das Durchmessen ist sehr genau! Es dauert leider ein paar Sekunden (2-3) bis alle Adern geprüft sind und die Anzeige das Ergebnis präsentiert. Er zählt halt einfach mit 1..2..3..4...5..6..7..8 Ergebnis. Haben Sie mitgelesen? ja solange dauert es bis das Ergebnis kommt, das ist aber sehr gut, Zeigt die Verdrahtung bzw. Fehler an. Ab und an hilft eine weitere Messung um das Ergebnis zu überprüfen, wenn er meint keine Ader wäre angeschloßen. Also bis auf die LED ein Top Gerät.

Das Gerät tut was es soll, prüfen ob jede Leitung durchgang hat und ob irgendwas vertauscht ist oder nicht. Aber nach 6 - 7 Wochen, fast täglicher Einsatz ging das Gerät defekt und ließ sich nicht mehr Starten, schade.
