Solid Alternative to the Stock PRS Trem
I bought this for my PRS because I love the guitar but wasn't a fan of the stock tremolo. It fits perfectly with no modifications or new screw holes required. I’m still dialing it in, the tremolo feels a bit loose for my taste, but it functions properly and stays in tune nearly as well as my double-locking guitars. One thing to note: the strings seemed to go into the rear block at an odd location. However, once I did my first string change, I realized the block leans back slightly when the tension is off, making the holes much easier to access than a standard rear-loaded floating trem. It's a very well-thought-out design. The bar also sits up a bit high; while that might not be for everyone, it’s a feature I personally really like.

Does Everything a Floyd does, without all the BS
I love a product that does everything as promised, and the Vega Trem is one. A Wonderfully and elegantly engineered and beautifully machined mechanism. The drop-in installation would have been nice enough, but the preset bridge saddles needed almost no adjustment, just a little height on the center strings to match the fretboard radius. Intonation was almost perfect. A variety of calibrated springs included to match your string gauge, brilliant. I haven’t been this happy with a piece of guitar gear in decades.

Took a bit to fit, but it was worth it
It didn’t fit. Why the five star review? Because with a little help from my dremel tool I sanded enough around the sides of the trem opening to make this fit. Once I got it set up, it transformed the way my Strat plays. It’s a parts caster so I’m not precious about it. Beware if you want zero modifications though. Depending on your Strat it may or may not drop in. I have to say it was worth it to shave a few millimeters off the edges to make this fit. It’s so smooth and it stays in tune. It seems very durable and is well made. I expect this will last a long time. It’s a great substitution for a Floyd Rose. I like this better because it’s more compact and looks like the stock trem. I highly recommend it. It’s the best mod I’ve done to this guitar so far.

Need to uncenter the mounting to stop sliding issues (for VT1 that have quality issues)
2025/09/25 update : My YouTube account in which I posted videos on Vega Trem issues (Sliding, Broken strings easily, screws strippings, quality issues…was deleted ! In French we say : “il n’y a que la vérité qui blesse”. I guess someone asked YouTube to delete my account because I have pointed out all the design flaws of VT1 ? It’s too bad because I really think it’s a very good Trem system but nothing is perfect, hope Vega Trem would improve their quality, and most IMPORTANTLY, improve THEIR CUSTOMERS SUPPORT, that is at present inexistant ! AND, again José Barragan from Vega Trem support keeps telling me to mount VT1 on different guitars it should resolve issues… Hey, we are not here to experiment or to beta test Vega Trem here ! At that price point it is supposed not to have such issues… 2025/08/28 update : I want to add that for half of the BAD VT1 I bought (quality issues, Sliding, backplate bar grooves badly routed, Trem slide and goes out of tune after 2/3 dive bombs, or EVEN with normal uses, no dive bombs, …) I managed to mount them with extra works, routings and holes, so that the Trem stops sliding (See photos). BUT IT NEEDS EXTRA WORKS AND IT’s definitely UGLY AND NOT CENTERED ! I am a loyal and pro customer I think a company like Vega Trem should support recognize they have quality issues and REPLACE freely this great product, at least the faulty fulcrum badly routed that causes too much sliding issues. As for me in 2024 they simply ignore they have quality issues, refusing my request for some replacements and rejecting their responsibilities and just told me TO SEE WITH THE SHOPS… that’s UNACCEPTABLE for a product sold at that price point! Yesterday I emailed again Vega Trem Support (José Barragan) and asked again fulcrum replacements for VT1 I bought that have too much sliding issues. No results… 2025/08/27 update: Just bought my 10th VT1, and this one is GOOD ! No sliding issues, grooves are well routed in the tremolo plate ! Last month not the case ! So today ordered another one from Pedalzoo, hope I will receive in the future the SAME CONSTANT QUALITY that the Vega Trem SHOULD HAVE ! (At that price point it SHOULD BE !) 2024/06/08 update: The “sliding” issue still remains ! Not a plus feature as they said ! Other quality issues: Over all quality is average, screws especially the saddles M3 screws (see pic) stripes easily, had to replace with aftermarket M3 screws… When you push the trem bar, you can definitely move (slide) by hand the entire bloc, same when you change strings… Result : VT1 moves when after several playings and in my case the entire bloc slides downward, high E strings is too close to the Fret ends and is slipping all thr time! Definitely a design problem …. I prefer the 1st order o made with fixed routed plate so saddles won’t move ! 2024/06/01 update: After email with Vega trem, they said the “sliding” is normal, it’s a plus feature, once installed bridge should not move : Not true ! 2023/2024 1. Received used I EXPRESSLY ASKED THE Seller Kairon Guitar Shop to send me a NEW ONE before ordering and HE just SENT a defective one very angry ! Springs tensions don’t correspond with their labels, for example, extra low tension not in the right bag, tools are in another springs bag… evidence someone changed the original package ! 2. Other Unacceptable Quality issues! Routing in the plate too large, causing the whole tremolo to slide ! They knew it and sent a defective product I am in Taiwan who’s going to pay all returns shipping and taxes and most importantly I have recording sessions and teachings need my guitars for production. Kairon Guitat is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ! All this are completely UNACCEPTABLE

Outstanding tremolo unit!!!
LOVE this tremolo system. Very responsive and 0 ‘play’ in the arm. Reminds me of ‘Strat’ sounding trem range… a la Jeff Beck, Gary Moore. You MAY need to think about getting some locking tuners, but perhaps not. GREAT unit!

Feels great. Sounds great. My guitar stays in tune A++
Easy to install and set up even with zero skills as a guitar tech. I'm only a player, and based on videos I watched on YouTube I thought I could install and set the VT1 up it correctly, and I did. All you'll need is a Phillips head screwdriver. It comes with the necessary Allen keys. Feels great. Sounds great. My guitar stays in tune A++

Loosen the intonation screw on the saddle to adjust the action!
Easy to install! Smooth action both ways! I don't know if you can go full Vai on it, but, with locking tuners in place it seems to hold tuning really well! I tried about 10 full dive bombs...stays in in tune; but pulling it up may affect tuning (which is more so due to tuners). Definitely recommend! However, it would've been great if they had added a more detailed manual on how to adjust the action! Good thing there is youtube for everything. First, loosen the intonation screw - the big screw on the saddle which holds the saddle in place. Then, you can tweak smaller screws to raise the action.

Großartiges upgrade an meiner prs se dgt. Erweitert den Funktionsumfang, absolut stimmstabil, einfach und sinnvoll umzubauen. Oktavreinheit passte gerade eben so, aber passte. Sehr empfehlenswert!
