I bought this to keep my 7 year old busy during a car trip, and it worked great. The picture pages have a breakdown of which pieces to use in case the pictures are too tricky on their own. The only thing I would change is the way it closes. Although they are magnetic, there could be a very small chance the pieces could fall out if they aren't stuck to the book correctly.

Wish the whole bord was magnetic. There is not place to put the peases when your not using them so they get lost easily.

I bought this for an across the country road trip and While its a great idea and concept, the magnets are not that strong and when stored, the pieces fall off and can get lost. Therefore the kids were never given this toy as a choice as I didn’t want to lose pueces.I wish they had a small plastic ziplined bag attached for storage.

Great alternative to tech games!

It's great but I think it came with two books.

Great for traveling, just make sure you look for all of the pieces when you arrive at your destination to ensure nothing gets tossed out on accident. This really is a great toy, but there are no hints for the younger children. If little kids like to play with the shapes and make their own creations, that is great. However, if you actually expect them to solve the puzzles, I would wait until they are just a little bit older to give it to them.I think it is awesome that this comes with two sets of shapes. This way, I can also take with us a small magnetic whiteboard, that way, two kids can sit next to each other in the car, they can both have shapes, they can use the same instruction page, and they’re not fighting over the amount of space that each one of them has on the small included board.I really wish the instruction booklet would light flat. They put on a very nice ring binding but the book itself is still held together with staples, so that I cannot expand, to lay flat with the rings. We did have a difficult time keeping the book open, while trying to solve the puzzle. If you have some small sticky notes, I recommend putting them in your kit, that way the kids can use them as page markers.

This set of tangram puzzles is compact, easy to carry and fun to play. We love the colorful puzzle pieces and the instruction book with letters and animal figures. The only thing is that the magnetic pieces doesn’t stay well on the book. They fall off easily.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great sized brain or puzzle game for kids. You can definitely bring when traveling or when on a road to keep you little ones (or even you) busy. It comes with two sets of puzzle. The only thing I didn't like is the snap button that closes this. It broke off easily by one of the kids. Will not ding this with one less star since it does what it needs to do as a game.
