PetSafe Ultrasonic Indoor Bark Control, Anti-Bark, Automatic, Training

Ordered this as the hand held versions work so well. I wanted a fixed version to do the same job. Unfortunately it has no effect whatsoever. A real waste of money.

I was very sceptical about this item. I have 2 Yorkshire terriers age 3 and the little boy under 4lbs in weight has little man syndrome. Constantly barking howling several times a day. I’ve bought everything to try and stop him nothing had worked. So someone I only see occasionally said they had same problem with a Chihuahua and bought this and it really worked. I ordered it unwrapped carefully thinking this is too expensive if it doesn’t work so might return it. My goodness it’s absolutely brilliant. We put it by the dog flap and he gingerly walks past it but I haven’t heard him bark in about 3 weeks. I’m so thrilled. It’s absolutely amazing. So small and idiot proof. My partner couldn’t believe it so barked by it and a little light came on. If only I had this 2 years ago. Worth every penny. Especially when I add up everything else I bought and didn’t work. A dog behaviourist said a shock collar but I couldn’t do that to him. But I’m so happy it painless for him and definitely us and our poor neighbors.

I wanted to give this 5 stars as our dog had an excellent response to this gadget within a day. However as batteries began to die the barking started again. Replaced the batteries but barking hasn't stopped again. Ordered a new one as for weeks it worked perfectly. May need to return first one if I find it may have developed a fault.

Bought this to help keep my dig quiet whilst I sleep as I work nights. What a load of rubbish! £28 for a censor that is two inches high one inch wide and came in a box that was five times it’s size and DOESN'T Work!

Bought this to deter my puppy from barking every time I left the room. Sadly it didn't work and it looks very cheaply made. I wouldn't recommend this product.

The reviews are very mixed - probably because Petsafe itself says in the instructions "Some dogs may not be responsive to ultrasonic stimulation. We understand this.." Dog-training has few magic solutions and it's best to reinforce the deterrent effect by verbal commands when the device activates and rewards when your dog stops barking; just turning it on and leaving it with your dog may not work. Having said that this device has helped reduce our dog's barking at specific triggers and I would recommend trying it as it will probably work if you persevere - like any dog training.

I’ve 2 labs and they bark if anyone passes the house or they hear a car door shut, but not now!! Not even an hour and both dogs have stopped barking! The younger lab won’t stay in the room we’re the device is if it’s turned on this makes me think some noise is being omitted even before they trigger it off with barking, also other loud noises trigger it off to. I wouldn’t recommend having it on all the time as I think it could distress them, but it does do the job and even after one day I can use it as a deterrent. So yes this does work and I would recommend it if you are having serious problems with your dog barking, if it’s just an odd bark then I wouldn’t use it as at the end of the day that’s what dogs do bark!

This product does not work at all. The sound they are supposed to hear that stops them barking does not bother them at all, it has been a total waste of money which is very disappointing

Pas déçue, le produit est fonctionnel et c'est la solution la moins chère contre les aboiements pendant nos absences . Bien sûr il faut savoir utiliser ces outils avec discernement : ne pas installer si vous avez plusieurs chiens et qu'un seul aboie, non plus si votre chien aboie à cause de mauvaise éducation ou de mauvaises conditions de vie !! Et ne pas utiliser en permanence (de toute façon les chiens finissent par se blaser et cela ne fait plus effet) . Perso je l'ai fixé dans mon van pour qu'ils apprennent à ne pas aboyer sur tout ce qui passe à côté en journée, pendant mes roadtrips . Puis quand ils doivent faire leur job de garde à nouveau, je l'éteins, j'indique le code "on garde", et ils savent très bien la différence . Seul défaut : le velcro fourni pour la fixation est trop faible, il faut le remplacer par un + puissant et coller la partie murale avec de la vraie colle, sinon le Petsafe tombe et s'éclate au sol, parfait pour un chiot ou chien rongeur qui dégustera ce jouet tombé du ciel !!
