I wanted to add a roof rack to my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and this one fit perfectly. There are a couple of things you need to know if you purchase this item that the manufacture does not say on the instructions. It comes with rubber bushings for the brackets to protect your roof rails and if you do not separate the roof brackets to put them in place they will be hard to install. Take the brackets apart, install the bushings the put the screws back in before installing. It will save you some headache. Also the instructions say that you have an allen key and a star key where in reality you have 2 star/torx keys, one T25 and one T30. If you have a T25 bit if will help you starting the underneath screws to tighten down the rails because you are working with limited space. Overall I love this roof rack because it is curved and doesn't stick out from the vehicle roof. It took me an hour and 15 minutes to install.

I spent a good amount of time searching for the right set of rack crossbars so I could use my kayak racks. This set seemed to be the best looking and best rated as well as the best priced at $69.99 with a $10 off coupon. They arrived in excellent condition and were properly wrapped and boxed. These fit good on my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. Included with the Amazon item pictures for this product there's also an installation video that I watched prior to installing these. They are a little tricky when adjusting them to the proper length and setting the brackets inside the roof rails. Once installed they seem to be very solid crossbars. One of the rubber boots for the mounting brackets had a slight tear in it out of the box but was still usable, I'm just not sure how it will hold up, time will tell.I was able to install these by myself, but I would recommend using another person to help hold one side of the bar while you install the other side to ensure proper alignment and avoid scratching your roof. One nice feature about this kit is they use the security torx bits that have the small hole in the center. This makes it harder for people to come along and just unscrew your crossbars and take them, but not impossible as security torx bits are easily bought at many stores. They provide the two different size security torx keys, one for the top screws and one for the smaller bottom screws. You have to leave the top screws out in order to set the mounting brackets in the rails and then line up the screws and tighten them down. I would also leave the bottom screws a little loose for making adjustments and then tighten them up once the bottom rail brackets are in place. Due to available space, you have to use the provided torx wrench to tighten the crossbar tension screws located on the bottom ends of the bars. I used my ratcheting screwdriver and my own security torx bit which made tightening the top screws easier. Just slowly and carefully go back and forth tightening each screw a little at a time because this will ensure that both sides of the mounting bracket are tightened evenly and flat against the rail. I installed one bracket on the passenger side and then moved over and installed the driver side bracket to ensure proper alignment. Do this for both the front and back crossbars and you won't have any trouble.Overall the crossbars are secure and look really nice when installed. Once warmer weather arrives I will be able to mount my kayak racks and try them out. I don't foresee any problems but I will update this review should any occur.
