As with all these items it is a little fiddly to construct, and it is essential to have a good set of tweezersto hand, paticularly for installing the plastic glazing in the openings. Hornby instructions suggest using sticky clear tape, but I prefer using a clear contact adhesive just round the edges of the glazing.The overall looks, and detail is outstanding, and fairly good value.

A bit overpriced
Like most Hornby products this budget set is not good value for money and over priced, again a basic mono coloured set that needs some brush work. My station house was particularly plasticky and the screened brick work was very bad, even card kits looked more realistic.

Excellent.
Bought as part of a Christmas gift for a new model train enthusiast. The original basic track came from Lidl and I was very pleased to find lots of the additional [and correct gauges] on line.. It has been very successful thankyou.

Water tower building quite realistic, but small house and small huts less so. Water tower for locos poor as it doesn't really fit together propoerly and is loose. Overall not the best value that money can buy.

Great station starter pack
This Hornby station set is a great way to start your railway model layout.I like that you can choose between different stickers to create your own unique station.The stickers stick well and are easy to apply.The windows are abit fiddly to stick on. I used PVA glue to stick them instead of the cello tape and they stuck well.Some stickers and water transfers are very small and tricky to get in the right place.Overall this is a good station set and looks great.Highly recommended
