does the job
I was stuck between 4 or 5 star, why! when we got the temperature up to 40 , then when we got in it dropped to 39, the old unit held 4o for a good while before dropping temp., it also dropped quick when you put the bubbles on, will have to look into that. But over all easy fitting and quiet.

Leaked badly within three months, draining the pool. Suspect the Unit is not brand new.
Was attracted by the discounted price on a 'new' item. Was surprised on running it for the first time that the pump unit made more noise than the old one it replaced but didn't think any more about it.For some weeks afterward, found the pool was losing water very slowly and suspected a leak from the liner. After roughly 10 weeks of infrequent use I found the pool two thirds empty and realised water was dripping out of the new pump unit.Rather than return I watched a couple of Youtube videos and determined that the leak was from the heater. I could doubtless have returned the whole pump under guarantee (as doubtless most people would) but instead I removed the heater and stripped it down only to find the aluminium was heavily pitted with corrosion at both ends, in one place leaving holes that the gaskets couldn't possibly seal. I have since made good the pitting by applying a liquid engine gasket to both ends and the pump unit is now working satisfactorily and without leaks. We live in a soft water area with neutral pH and I treat the water carefully and regularly. The previous pump unit operated without fault for nearly three years in these conditions. And so I find it difficult to believe that the heater within the pump unit was new. Despite 'new looking' gaskets it has a 'worn looking' aluminium shell and I don't see how that can have happened through just a few weeks of light use. If my suspicion is correct then the noisier than its predecessor pump may well be worn too. N.b. the outer plastic casing of the pump unit does appear brand new.So as I see it, there are three possibilities - 1/ it is a 'reconditioned unit', 2/ it was a returned unit where the original buyer has swapped out worn parts for new or 3/ I am wrong. Whichever is the case, it only lasted 10 weeks before requiring significant repair. In summary I wish I had spent the same time rebuilding the failed old pump or buying a full price replacement from Lay Z Boy.Disappointed.

Brand new boxed unit substantially cheaper than Lazy Spa direct.
Unit just as expected, brand new, boxed, with all seals already fitted and ready to go, in stock (unlike lazy spa direct) and sensibly priced (unlike lazy spa direct) a little hiccup with the courier but quickly rectified by seller.
