Not recomended for quick look at something, you need a little time.
Only problem is the lens caps at large end being a single unit if used you need to adjust angle for your personal eye width every time if you use them. Apart from that these bins are beyond belief. Only puchased recently so not had much chance to use for astrononical use due to cloud cover BUT have managed to see some objects in night sky and very very impressed. Have also used them to watch some bird activity and again very impressed. Hand holding NOT recomended due to weight plus even at lowest mag 30x hand shake is unavoidable, A good sturdy tripod is essential...these are very high powered bins so using tripod is only to be expected. They seem to be sturdy and well made.

Do not buy, you will have to return
It's a great disappointment, I thought if something was made in Japan it would be of quality item but I was wrong. I have been using binoculars for many years. I have a celestron sky master 25x100, very heavy and good for star gazing. I later bought Pentax 20x60 and used it for watching aeroplanes and terrestrial view. Pentax is really good, much clear view, no tints and large for. I wanted a more powerful binoculars and came across this one which said" world most powerful binocular" etc, what a lie It's same weight as my Pentax but it's very low quality. The 1st thing I noticed was the fov was not bigger than a pound coin, very small and you struggle to find anything with it. 2nd I noticed was yellowish tint in the view 3rd it's definitely not 30x as it was same as 20x60 Pentax but with a small area not bigger than a coin and not clear as Pentax. Those who left positive feedback are probably people with their 1st binoculars and don't know about good binoculars. I returned it after having it 30 minutes, thanks to amazon return policy.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
This item more than meets my expectations and I still have not used it to capacity. It is not lightweight (which is why I gave that section 3 stars) but that is good..because with binoculars the weight shows it's worth! I finally have a pair of strong powerful binoculars that more than meets my needs. Thank You!

watch out for wobble.
Excellent product. A must have for stargazing although difficult to control the wobble at high magnification. Also a loss of sharpness' experienced on far away objects. Tripod is a must!

Okay and the Zooming Potential!
Had a bit of trouble buying bins but settled for these. Very heavy but good enough for use at lower magnification. 30x is good enough for a Quick Look. I’m no binoculars expert but they’ll do me. Very expensive at £300 new too but mine were from the warehouse and had a voucher so wasn’t that bad. Only criticism is the zoom lever is a bit scrapey. Expected better manufacturing than that. Will need a tripod and patience to play around with the zoom at higher mag one day.

mega zoom, it does what it says on the tin!
having read the reviews on amazon before purchasing these binoculars, i realised that a bit of time and patience wouldn't go amiss when first using them. They do take a bit of getting used to and i would reccomend that they be used with a tripod as they weigh 1.5kg ( i purchased the hama 61 tripod from amazon and it is perfect for the job). I read one review where the purchaser complained that the image became darker under high zoom well hello that happens with all high power binocs, you have to take the time to zoom in on the object that you want to look at and at full magnification on a tripod these easily the most powerful lenses i have ever used and the best. Practice makes perfect in this case the more you use them the easier they become to handle. You don't have to have a tripod but hand shake comes quite quickly bacause they take a while to get the correct focus. I just want to add that they are also brilliant for star gazing on a clear night with a full moon. Completely satisfied. Hama Star 61 Tripod

I'm bind!!! o its only the Binoculars:(
To all customers - these Binoculars or things I buy and tryed-out are "the worst Binoculars in the world" image is dark and blurry. What was the marketing apartment thinking to release these things on to the market... please customer watch out and don't order them. Now I'm left with the problem of getting my money back if that's possible.

A sturdy tripod is essential
I am using with a Manfrotto Compact Advanced tripod so please read the following comments with that in mind. Very easy to set up the binoculars, get the main and right eye focus settings correct, in fact easier than setting up the tripod. Using at 30-50x magnification gives the best results for me. Much above that, it does work, and the tripod becomes even more essential, although inevitably the image becomes less bright (and filed of view narrower) as the magnification is increased. OK for terrestrial viewing at higher x maybe, for astronomical viewing anything above 30x you are better off with a good telescope IMO. All in all it does what it says on the can.

I purchased these binoculars for scouting/hunting Elk and Bear in the high country of Arizona, and was looking for something to use for viewing great distances. I purchased them used and upon receiving them I discovered that the neck strap and tripod adapter were missing. After contacting Amazon about the issue, I was able to email the distributor in the UK looking for replacement parts. To my surprise I received a telephone call from the supplier within the hour and arrangements were made to get me the parts. I also received follow up communication from the supplier to keep me apprised of the process. As to the binoculars themselves, upon first glance they seem very well-constructed and come in a sturdy case. I used them at first in an urban setting and found it very easy to read signs from long distances. The first chance I got to use them in an open range setting I was on the top of a large Mesa overlooking a valley in northern Arizona. I was at approximately 9500 feet elevation and was scouting an area several hundred square miles in all directions. Using the binoculars was quick and easy although a tripod is greatly recommended for the highest powers as it is very difficult to use them free hand. Adjustments are easy to make and the zoom feature is smooth. The detail that I was able to see at long distances was amazing. There was some blurriness at higher magnifications but I believe that with some adjustment I can eliminate that to a tolerable level. As I have to pack everything in and out on my scouting trips I found the sturdiness of these to be very reassuring. These are very long distance use binoculars but could also be used in lower magnifications for other purposes, although their size makes them a bit inconvenient for everyday use. These would be great for nautical use where scanning long distances on the open water. For their price range I find them to be an excellent buy. Customer service from the supplier in the UK was phenomenal! For my use I was not willing to pay thousands of dollars for a set of binoculars that I knew we're going to be used in rugged terrain and these fit my needs perfectly.
