works well as a receiver for old analog tvs with the ability to record programs. i purchased the 3500 model 3 years ago & both that and my homeworx box started to malfunction about the same time. sometimes receives signals, sometimes not. for $30 it's worth purchasing another. i like this one much better than the 3500 because it's smaller and doesn't have that annoying red led nonsense number continuously shining on the front. the menu seems very similar to the older model. easy to navigate & record. i don't do a lot of recording of programs but i like having the option if needed. i got rid of cable a few years ago & have a nice large roku tv in the living room but still have some older tvs that i'd rather use in bedrooms while they still work. works great for picking up the signals that are in my area.

Although the software is a bit clunky the unit works great. I don’t live in the best reception zone I get plenty of local channels with digital quality.Great buy, don’t let the software get you frustrated.

Cheap Chinese converter but got my old HD projection TV in my basement back in service with 30+ channels.

bought it to record air tv broadcast. shortly after scanning channels. it stuck on one channel and no picture, just sound. then started cut off and on by itself. tried unplugging it for a while but still just sound. easy return with Amazon 5 stars there. Amazon sent me the second unit. It failed in 2 weeks. same as the first one stuck on 1 channel. no reset button. This one froze up while trying to change channels fast. I liked the EPG info system and recording feature. not a stable unit.

It works as advertised. I have not tried the dvr. I do not like the guide and how it sets the channel numbers up. Instead of the normal local channel numbers it just lines them up from channel 1-30 or however many channels you receive. I would like it a lot more if it had the actual channel numbers. The guide only shows information for the channel you're on. In order to see what's on the other stations you have to actually change the channel. If I had known these two downfalls, I would have purchased a different converter. It'll do.

I did not want to pay for another cable box so I order this instead.. oh my gosh- It works awesome. I get almost all channels and in color also. it gives the station numbers but boy while Iam crafting, I can now listen to my stations.wish I had done this sooner.. The antenna that came with it- Great and I am in the bottom basement, no problemswith sound or picture or color.

Worked OK for only 5 days and then quit. I am returning it now. It worked as advertised for 5 days. Pulled in the same stations as the TV's tuner. My primary reason for ordering this particular unit was the QAM tuner support which is necessary to tune cable stations at some camping venues including Fort Wilderness in Disney World. The TVs in our motorhome do not support QAM. Unfortunately this thing didn't last long enough to try out the QAM feature. The TVs in our motor home do not support QAM. The prospect of some DVR features when camping was also appealing. I also purchased a Viewtv AT263 that was superior in several ways for only about $6 more. It receives several more stations than either the 3200 or the TV's native tuner. If the AT263 works with QAM I will order at least 2 more of those. If not I may be forced to try another IVIEW-3200. If Qam is not an issue for you pay the extra $6 and get th AT263.

I bought this due to my digital tuner is bad on my TV and it will not find any of the wowway cable channels. I installed the 3200, changed the input to cable and found all my cable channels. The only downfall is the 3200 also finds the scrambled channels. I was able to scroll through and delete all the scrambled channels and rename the others to match my cable company.

Actually, it functions like other without big difference.Cons: no display, no controls on front. No support to virtual channel numbers.

The unit normally works, as described. However from time to time the power in it goes off, then comes back on a little later and this is repeated several times. That is the unit is not reliable.
