I like this product
I like this product...I use a little of several products, mixing them, giving one or two a few days then switching, as well as Rx Rimadyl. I use less Rimadyl for sure and my arthritic, cancerous beagle has her spring in her step and demanding attitude back. Anyway, I like this product and use it in rotation. I especially like that it is chewable, so sometimes I drop it in her kibble or give as treat. She, and my other, non-arthritic but aging bassett/lab mix, both love it, and they take to it like any treat. Easy to administer and I think is helping. I've written elsewhere for some of the other products I've used in rotation that my beagle, before Christmas, was literally dragging her hind legs limply, coming to me pulling herself forward on her two front legs. Aweful sight and I grievously wondered if I had to put her down and if she'd make it to the holidays. As contrast: as I said her spring is back, now she runs, is spunky and (with running start) jumps up on her favorite chair. Now, just as a another consideration, I probably spend as much or more on these alternative meds per month as would if I limited her treatment to just Rimadyl. But as I said I skip the Rimadyl now and then, as well as, occasionally in small amount,s use these products in conjunction w/ the Rimadyl, and this has been a good outcome for me. Cost wise, probably no savings, but I prefer not depending on the Rx exclusively, saves trips to vet for more Rx (there's some $ savings) and she is 180 degrees from where was. So for me, this is one of several products I found contributing to effective treatment of her pain from ACL pull and resultant arthritis. To be helpful to others who love their ailing dogs, I also want to say I remembered getting a cortisone shot once for some foot pain and was cured, now for years. It clicked in my head to ask the vet if can give her anything like that. Of course. But they never presented that option. Always Rx, laser, PT...all $ to them. Really, I got more "aggressive" in my treatment search for her after she responded very well to the shot and subsequent Rimadyl, and as she was turning around from the brink I started doing alternatives plus intermittent Rimadyl. Also, FYI, they said it wasn't exactly cortisone but something like it but better, whatever. It was the beginning of her turn around, which I followed up w/ my own research and mixing of remedies such as this one.As for her cancer, I have chosen not to do surgery as it is already in two places visibly, and even if hasn't spread internally and then put her under anesthesia and cut out the two masses, I was told still would have to follow up w/ chemo. To me, the sickness that follows chemo is NOT quality of life. I have neither the money, inclination or faith that this is appropriate for her, due to her age and other ailments. I'm going for quality of life and she has definitely regained her verve and has no problem reasserting her alpha-status w/ the other dogs, so for me, she's doing quite well. That's just my opinion, and for this situation.

No difference
I've been using these for about a week now and have not noticed any difference in my dogs hip and joint pain. Will update this review later.

Save your Money to go see an actual Vet
I purchased this item based on all the glowing advertising and reviews that festooned the sales pitch. My dog has arthritis in his right knee. I made a short video of his limping before I gave him the medication, and then took some shot video clips of him walking one week after using this medication; then two weeks, and so on. We're now on week three and there is absolutely no difference in his limping or the pained look in his face when he has to go for a walk, which he's very enthusiastic to do. Three weeks in: no positive results recorded. I asked two vets about this product and they both said, "Go ahead and give it a try...if you want." Neither sounded encouraging. They were right. Today, I put my dog back on Rimadyl and he's limping much less and is always excited to go for a walk. I've learned my lesson, and only had to pay $27 to do so! Save your money. Believe me, I'm one of those people who will try anything to reduce my dog's pain. This does not work on my dog.

Worked for my terrier mix
My little dog, who is approximately 12 years old, jumped off the couch a few weeks ago and started limping badly. He was diagnosed with severe arthritis in both hips. The vet gave him a 2 week supply of pain meds, which helped a little but I was still having to carry him every where. My sister told me about this product and I started giving it to him during the second week he was on the pain meds. By the end of that week, he could get up on his own. After being on the Pain Away for a month, he could go for a walk to the end of the street. He's been on it for about 6 weeks now and he is running around the house just like before and can almost walk as far as he did before he aggravated his arthritis. Yes, he did have runny stools in the beginning but after a week or so, that resolved itself. I soak the tablet in a tablespoon of water for a few minutes to soften it, then pour the tablet and the water on his wet food. I crush the tablet and mix it in with his wet food and he eats it right down. This product has given Fred back his quality of life and he doesn't have to take prescription pain medication.Update : my dog has been taking this product for almost a year and a half now and he has not had any joint problems whatsoever since starting this supplement. He walks without limping, goes up and down the stairs with no problems and occasionally runs. He is now approximately 15 years old.

Take away pain
When I read the info on line it said big dogs get I tablet and small dogs get 1/2 tab.. when actually my 120 lbs dog gets 4 tabs a day. Regardless, if in fact , if the medication works , I will order more.It took my dog awhile to take the tabs but he did end up taking them
