Perfect to get rid of bad smells.
I got this ozone machine as we were moving into a new flat and it smelt a little like the previous tenant smoked. This is where the ozone machine is so handy as you simplyChoose a time slot of at least 3 hours where you’ll not be using the room you’re using the ozone machine.Shut all windows in the space.Switch the machine on and leave.Let it do its thing. When you come back into the room the first thing you do is open windows. The room will have a distinctive ozone smell for a few more hours. I personally don’t like this. So I typically don’t enter the room. It’s honestly an amazing device. And after two cycles the smell is genuinely gone.

Works well for mould
Works perfectly well, just be careful of not reentering the space where it was used immediately as it leaves a strong smell.

UPDATE - the seller NORDLODGE went above and beyond to rectify this problem
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE - the seller NORDLODGE went above and beyond to rectify this problemBought on Amazon Prime. The Box was fine and packaging was fine. But even from the outside it could be heard there was something broken inside. The externals of the unit was fine. But a large piece like a transformer was clearly falling around inside, and there was a sound of something like a screw loose. The part can be seen in the video as I move the unit from flat to upright. The Unit turns on and works fine, and it does seem effective (BUT YOU HAVE THE BE CAREFUL and follow the instructions not to be in the room with it, and have arrangements made to vent the room). But its clearly broken and arrived this way. Because it's electrical I'd be afraid to leave the house alone with it running. I tried to return it to Amazon, but Amazon want me to pay the postage - - they will pay a "contribution"???? Having bought on Amazon prime???? For broken Item????? Sale of goods Act????I wondered could I fix it as the housing is simplistic. The contact instructions inside for the Chinese manufacturers were a gmail address - - which gmail said was not working. There was another contact detail for a distributor - they were emailed and asked could I try to fix it or what to do --- and in fairness they replied asking for details. These were supplied all the details and with a video, but there has been no response. All a pity because it seemed to work OK, but I can't use this and be left with a broken product.....UPDATE - the seller NORDLODGE went above and beyond to rectify this problem

No warning of HUGE amount of VOC (volatile organic compond) byproducts that took 2 days to clear!
I ran this ozone generator for 1 hour in a furnished bedroom with a recliner chair. Hoping to reduce any remaining mould after a bunch was cleaned out of a fixed air conditioner.I happened to have left my AirThings View Plus air quality meter in there, otherwise I wouldn't have had a clue that there were massively high VOC levels created by the interaction of the ozone, presumably with the soft furnishings. These levels were over 10x the normal background in the room. 4x higher than the (much briefer) highest peak after fitting new windows, as the sealant vented.I thought I'd turned the bedroom into a toxic wasteland, having to stay out for 2 days before levels dropped back to normal. That's with windows wide, fans and a HEPA air filter running!I'm not sure what lingering nasties remain, undetected. If what I saw was the some breakdown of brominated flame retardants in the leather sofa recliner chair. These are extremely common (in the UK).Note, there was also an unexpected brief peak detected of both PM 2.5 and PM 1 particles. Usual air pollution. Either the air quality monitor was detecting the ozone itself, or the device was breaking down larger dust into a shower of smaller particulates. This dissipated as soon as the generator shut itself off.Notice that the VOC level only shot up *after* particles, and so presumably ozone levels, declined. I assume this means that the ozone gas was breaking down the VOCs being emitted from the furnishings. But then they continued to be emitted.I've not really been able to dig up any detailed information about this concerning issue, so far. I've just emailed the manufacturer.

Seemed to do the trick
I only used this once to try and remove the smell from a second hand car that had been smoked in. After about an hour, it seemed to do the trick although the car needed to air and took a few days afterwards for the swimming pool sort of smell to completely dissipate. It's a lot better, but probably not 100% gone. Please do read up and research before running one of these. Ozone is quite reactive (why it is good as getting rid of smells and protecting us from the sun). It will react with and damage plastics, rubbers and various other things as well as you! Do make sure whatever is being "de-smelled" has already been throuroughly cleaned. If it's a car, wet vac and wipe down everything you can reach first. The less crap for the ozone to react with, the better. It doesn't need to run for long (<60 mins) and remember that it will take a while to dissipate too so remember add that into your calculations.
