Excellent product! Will discharge batteries and automatically turn to re-charging once the previous operation has completed. It is also possible to charge different types of battery at the same time. Maybe a little more expensive, but well worth every penny.

only used it a couple of times so far and it seems to be very good at what it does, I had quite a few 2700 uniross batteries sitting around for a few months that were very flat, put them on the charger and decided to discharge them before a full recharge and it worked out brilliantly, took quite a few hours to do it all but im more than impressed with it, 8 all done at the one time and as they were fully charged the light when out so that you knew what ones could be used right away, I have a few small chargers that do 4 batteries at the same time but this is far superior to anything else on the market, a wee bit costly but you get what you pay for, would I recommend this charger a most definite YES.

A compact and well made charger with a good warranty. One big plus is the ability to discharge the batteries before charging, each cell works independently of the others.The only issue I have is that the power adaptor generates a lot of electrical noise which affects my home plug performance by around 30%. All battery chargers will do this and moving them around to other sockets gaining more distance will help but I have used other chargers in the same wall socket without issue.

Very happy with this. I had bought a different one not so long ago, but was frustrated that even supposedly newly charged batteries would suddenly turn red instead of green, plus I had to charge batteries four at a time. This one however, is brilliant. I can recharge just one battery if I choose, it shows which batteries are charged wherever they are and being a "smart charger" apparently stops charging once they reach their capacity. Neither the batteries nor the charge become overheated when charging that I've noticed either, which is encouraging.

After buying and receiving I realised it was not what I wanted as it gives you very little feed back on the battery states etc. Amazon was VERY good in giving a refund for it when I sent it back

This charger is worth it. It’s well built, compact, feels pretty good to use and has a discharge mode. I always felt like battery chargers were both hard to get excited about, and slightly underwhelming in all respects. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this one.

Constantly had to keep wiggling the charger lead where it enters the device. Expected better from ansmann and if it wasn't for the batteries included with it I would give it no stars.

Excellent, pricier than most but worth it. Charges and discharges very accurately. Best AA and AAA charger I've had and I've had a few, beats nitecore chargers out of sight as they tend to make NiMH batteries very hot. Not so with this ansmann charger!
