Consider this to be one of my best purchases
Quick details Moon mode: Yes, Hold down mode switch, then press primary activation switch. Modes: Quick power scroll mode (change through three pre-set power modes). Slow fade power mode (allows you to change light power by holding in mode switch). (switch between by pressing mode button four times when torch is on.) If you are someone who always needs a torch, this is a good contender. It doesn't overstate it's power. It won't be like daylight outside when you turn this on, but it is very surprising for it's size. The throw is amazing. The UI is well put together. Batteries are readily available if you want spares. Stays charged for a long time. Dropped mine once or twice, still works. Carry case is strapped to my belt daily with zero issues. Also has the belt clip on the actual torch if that's more your thing. Accessories are well made. The camping light converter piece is especially impressive and still keeps the torch bright and powerful. This was value for money in the greatest sense. I would buy again in a heart beat. If you are the tactical sort, this is your port of call, quick reach, belt light.

What did I like about this flashlight? Just about everything, but the best part (for me) is the two button operation. The tail button turns the flashlight on and off. The head/side button changes the modes. This combo makes the light perfectly simple to use, while still preserving a Turbo setting, ramping control, and strobe and S.O.S., should I ever care about those. The build is solid. The light is bright when I want bright. The battery can be charged in flashlight or out of flashlight. The head/side button shows the charge state when the flashlight is turned on. The clip is pretty secure. And the price is reasonable compared to some of the market leaders. I got the package containing the battery, charging cable (USB 3, yay!), holster, and diffuser. I haven't tried the holster, yet, but the diffuser works reasonably well for an emergency lantern. This flashlight doesn't sit terribly stably on its tail end, so the "lantern" mode would require a little propping. The battery that came with the flashlight looks to be of good quality (according to my charger). My flashlight is the "5000K" version, but seems even warmer than that to my eyes. It definitely looks yellower when compared to my other "6000K" flashlights. What can I complain about? So far not much. Maybe the double click/triple click/quad click requires a little more speed than I'd prefer, but that's about it. I primarily own "less expensive" flashlights. The SC31T is clearly head and shoulders better quality than the really cheap models. If my unit doesn't die in the near term, I can easily see it becoming my favorite pocketable flashlight.

I've had a chance to carry the Sofirn SC31T for a few weeks now. It's a great little pocket light (especially with the clip or included belt case), packs a lot of power (2,000 claimed lumens) and is built sturdy enough to take day-to-day abuse. As with all Sofirn products, this Sofirn SC31T sits in the sweet spot of being a quality build without breaking the bank. I own over 10 Sofirn lights, and this is one of the best models to pocket or "EDC" -- you get a lot of lumens for such a small size. Sofirn has some smaller models available (such as the SC21 Pro or SP10 Pro), but those output about half the lumens. This is a good middle-ground for size vs. power, and easily pocketable. At full power, 2,000 lumens are blindingly bright, and can throw a good distance. The lowest output modes on the SC31T are perfect for moving around the house in the dark. As a company, Sofrin lights aren't super flashy, but they are top performers and can take a beating. I own a lot of other "hot rod" flashlights and they get a lot of use, but I'm always impressed with the build quality you get with Sofirn products for the price. They feel sturdy in the hand, have a good waterproof rating, and the aluminum shells hold up to day to day wear. The SC31T's interface is pretty straightforward and you can cycle through the output modes quickly. The tail-click and side-button work nicely together to turn on/off and cycle modes. I generally prefer lights with the "Anduril" open-source interface, and this model does not have that. However, there is another model "SC31 Pro" that's the same size, but with Anduril, if you'd like to try a bit more advanced interface. It comes with one of my favorite emitters, the Luminus SST-40 at 5000K. This is close to my preferred color temperature (around 4000K), and a good temperature for most daily use. The SC31T can be charged with the built-in USB-C port, or your favorite Li-ion charger. It holds a charge for a while when not in use, though I usually lock the light out (by unscrewing the tail-cap slightly) when not in use. The SC31T comes with a belt-clip that's pretty flexible in what you attach it to (through a snap-off clip, or a metal ringlet). I also love that it comes with a diffuser, which you can use to soften the light output. I can't recall any of my other flashlights that came with a diffuser by default, and it's a nice option to have. Overall, I'd highly recommend this light for anyone looking for a quality-built and powerful EDC light.
