Creativity in a Box
I experimented with this for an hour and now have the beginning of a thriller plot. I could have gone on to develop the entire story, but my brain was so exhausted from the creative workout that I decided to stop. I didn't follow the suggestions, but did this:I wanted two characters, so drew four gold cards; I put these together in the way which seemed best for the personalities. I started by drawing only two copper cards, began a narrative, but needed more copper cards for inspiration - I think I ended up with four. From this, the plot grew and grew. I made notes on some software called Scapple, but you could do it anywhere, even a piece of paper, and saw that I had the beginning of a thriller novel.I'm totally amazed at the way these cards provoke the imagination, especially when two or more are linked by your mind. I'll never be short of something to write.Drawing one card of each colour could inspire flash fiction or a short story, but it's so tempting to carry on.I thought hard before spending the money; I'm so glad I did.

An excellent game for anyone who loves stories and wordplay.
This is the original - and it's well on it's way to becoming a classic card game. As a theatre maker I can totally appreciate its function as a story creation prompt as well as a simple and fun social game. The product itself is beautifully created - the design is clean and instructions clear. Unlike so many other games, it is NOT made of plastic, thus the whole tactile interaction is pleasing.
