Must of got a dud
After reading all the great reviews on this I purchased one. It worked great for 3 months. Now the display lights up but there are no readings

Works Well, But Wires Too Short
I agree with other reviewers, that the wire leads on these are too short for any sort of "flexible" install.I bought two of these, and managed to put Anderson Powerpole connectors on one, and MC4 solar connectors on the other. But you have to turn the world upside down to keep the meter oriented so you can read it, because of the short wires. One issue I noted was when I tried connecting my two solar panels in series at the "Source" side of one of these. It correctly read the input voltage at about 42V when they were in sunlight, but the meter got VERY WARM. When I switched my panels back to a parallel configuration, the meter seems not to be getting as warm. So not sure this meter is as efficient as one would like to leave inline all the time for solar power input to a charge controller, at least for any input voltages over about 20V, even though the manual says it can work with higher voltages. The meter also has to be unplugged and plugged in every morning in order to be reset when connected to solar panels overnight - might need to try and power the 12V aux connector in the back on that one.I knocked off one star from my rating mainly due to it getting so warm, but also because of the very short wires.

Bought 4 of them !!!!!
Great and easy way to monitor the energy for dc loads or solar panels. We have one hooked to every string of solar panels that we have :)Ramblin' Bob Reviews (Youtube)

Works well and very easy
I use this with my LiFePo4 battery during POTA (Parks On the Air) events so I have some idea what my WH remaining are. Works just fine and unlike some of the other vendors the price is not ridiculous. It would be real nice if it had a mounting ear on each side but I will just ziptie down the wire to hold it where I want it.

A Doc Watson Knock-Off
This is a cheap knock-off the RC Electronics, Inc. “ Doc Watson ” watt meter. Usually I’d go for the original product, but since that has been unavailable for months, here I am. There are many knock-offs of the smaller range “Watt’s Up” meter, but this is one of the few of the larger one. A double-sided page of instructions provided is provided. The 8 AWG wire leads one size too thick for the “yellow” crimp quick-disconnects. I crimped some large ring terminals to the ends and then made some ring terminal-to-blade connector 10 AWG wire jumpers. I’m nowhere near 200 A, so the thinner wire won’t matter. I bolted the jumper and terminal rings together and wrapped in electrical tape so red and black don’t short. It looks like the kludge that it is and I would not recommend this method of connection. There is probably a better way (twist nuts?).This unit maintains the auxiliary power source feature of the Doc Watson, but without the documentation telling you which pin is which. The pin farthest from the input wires is Negative (-), the middle pin is Positive (+).Briefly (not continuously) shorting the third pin and the first pin (-) should reset data counts, but this feature doesn’t appear to work.Connect to the pins via JR Style 24" / 600mm Servo Extension - 5 Pack or similar. A 9 Volt battery will work to power the meter, or build a larger battery pack out of AA batteries using 8pcs AA Cells Battery (12 V) Clip Holder Box Case Black .

great stuff
works good

Works as advertised
Works excellent. Have it wired before the solar panels go into the charge controller and I now can see the total watts amp hrs every day. Device will reset ‘totals’ when it looses power but that is good with me.
