Kipling Deena Women's Cross Over Bag

I have many Kipling bags and I love them for their quality and durability but I have never found the one that is exactly right for day to day. Well, now I have. Call it the Goldilocks bag: not too small, not too big, just right. The colour, black dots, is very nice. I generally don't like black for clothing or bags but the dot effect gives it that little extra something. Very smart.I also like that it has the usual Kipling quota of pockets but this time, unlike my last Kipling bag, putting stuff in the external pockets does not encroach on the inner space. My phone fits neatly in the front pocket, my large (Kipling) purse fits comfortably into the other front pocket and I have put various bits and bobs - wipes, tissues, comb, make up - into the back zipped pocket. Inside there is room for my Kindle, keys (on the attached fob), a small notebook and there is a small pocket into which goes my Oyster card holder. There is only one pen holder but who needs more than one pen? If you did need more there's plenty of room in the bottom of the bag.I love this bag. It won't stop me from buying more Kipling bags because there's always other occasions and other colours and patterns but for every day this is now my goto bag.

Kipling Deena bag at 5 litres capacity is perfect to carry your everyday essentials. If you aren't a ''just in case, pack everything' type of person, this is a great bag. Has two main compartments, and two smaller pockets, one front and back of the bag. There is a key fob in the main body of the bag, a small zipped pocket and two slip pockets for a pen and perhaps a pack of tissues or, gum etc. I like this bag as it's sufficiently big enough to carry all the average daily essentials without being too heavy and cumbersome. This bag makes you focus on your essentials, and you don't overpack it. It will take a bottle of water, 500ml lengthwise, pack on the top. I have a Kipling Bernard wristlet for my cards, cash, vouchers and phone which is in the main compartment, notebook in the zipped pocket and, my glasses case,. I have a Creativity small purse packed to the max in the front pocket and still space left. I keep 3 reusable cotton shopping bags in the back zipped pocket.

I am a self confessed Kipling addict who has smaller cross body bags like the haru, syro, Zamora, moyelle as well as bigger bags in different colors. The deena is so awesome, for days when the haru is too small and syro is too shallow due to the center partition. the deena took away all those problems with zips for all compartments, not too big or small for a stroll around the neighborhood with a toddler. Holds a foldable umbrella, wet wipes, tissues, mobile, lip balms, sweets and sippy cup, diaper and with some space to spare. If I'm on my own, the extra space could stash last min purchases like a top easily. I have it grey, great colour and now I'm eyeing a darker shade as well.

This has to be my perfect Kipling bag and I have rather a lot ( probably too many!!). Plenty big enough to hold my kindle in one zip pocket, the main compartment is generously sized and then there are 2 other compartments as well so easy to find things like sunglasses or reusable shopping bags. Good wide strap which is comfortable to wear cross body. I have the mini geo pattern which matches the Kipling scarf in the same pattern beautifully. Amazon prices are so good I have sent for another Deena in red. Cayleen has been my favourite lately as I like the medium sized Kipling bags but I think the Deena is even better with just a bit more space.

I love this bag!I wanted a small bag for quick trip to the shop taking my phone, keys and purse so I bought the Emoli - perfect.But, I also wanted a slightly bigger bag to take out just a little more when needed ie a folding umbrella, tissues, handgel, etc - the Deena is perfect.Plenty of room in the Deena but not to big - somewhere between small and medium in size. Adjusting the strap it sits nicely on my hip too which is what I wanted. Usual fabric for Kipling - my friend says they wash up nicely in the washing machine but I haven't had it long enough to need to. Good sturdy zips. Love it.

This is a great little bag! I've been looking for a small, lightweight handbag for everyday use to replace my heavy leather bag, thanks to achey shoulders and a sore neck. I chose the Deena because, from looking at Youtube and QVC videos, it seemed to be big enough to hold all my essentials, yet just small enough to force me to pair down the amount of stuff I carry!I've knocked off a star because it's just a tad TOO small for me for everyday, but it's so lovely I'm going to try and work with it, and obvs it's perfect for weekends and travel etc anyway. I just wish it was an inch or two longer and thicker, so that I can drop things in freely, without having to 'pack' them in to make them fit, which can be a pain if you're in a rush.I chose the Deena in Black Leaf because I thought the jet black colour with subtle pattern and matching zips look quite stylish (for Kipling!) and it is an incredibly well made bag, with lots of sections. The fabric is strong and water resistant and - bonus - light grey inside instead of black. I've taken off the monkey as it's another thing I hate - too childish and gimmicky for a grown woman!I've always thought Kipling bags were a bit ugly with the contrasting zips and too-prominent logo (I hate logos), but the Black Leaf design is really nice and the logo blends in well so you don't notice it that much. I even think it would look great on nights out too.
